What's going on Monday?

Black Sabbath
Ozzy with Sabbath at MSG in 2016 (more by Ross Halfin)

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Ozzy Osbourne, Stone Sour @ PNC Bank Arts Center
Black Sabbath recently went on what they said would be their final tour, and now Ozzy is doing the same for his solo career. He has dates scheduled through 2019, so it’s not clear yet when his very last show will be, but catch the Ozzman while you still can. He brings the hits and his voice has been in great shape lately.

Waxahatchee (in the round), Night Stop, Anna St. Louis @ (le) poisson rouge
Waxahatchee (aka Katie Crutchfield) is fresh off releasing a new EP and now she’s on a solo tour. As great as her current live band is, it’s always a treat to see her in an intimate environment like this too. Both openers are worth catching as well.

Shellac @ The Bell House
The Bell House’s 10th anniversary continues with a rare performance by Steve Albini, Todd Trainer, and Bob Weston’s hard-hitting power trio.

Monolord, Usnea, Ilsa @ Saint Vitus
Swedish doomers Monolord are back in the US supporting last year’s very solid Rust. Good openers tonight too.

Antibalas (Aretha Franklin tribute) @ City Winery
Antibalas and friends “Pay Respect” to the Queen of Soul tonight. They haven’t said who those friends are, but they know a lot of cool people.

The Dead Boys (w/ Cheetah Chrome & Johnny Blitz), The Ghost Wolves, Gnarcissists @ The Bowery Electric
Cheetah Chrome & Johnny Blitz’s current version of legendary punk band The Dead Boys returns to NYC tonight. Expect lots of the classic Young Loud and Snotty (which they re-recorded last year with their current singer).

Superorganism, Yuno @ Brooklyn Steel
Superorganism continue to rise in popularity thanks to some very catchy pop-indie songs. If you’re going tonight, don’t miss Sub Pop-signed opener Yuno, who manages to combine hip hop, psych-pop, and emo in a way that actually works.

Butterboy Comedy @ Littlefield
Maeve Higgins and Michelle Buteau are your Butterboy hosts tonight, with guests Will Miles (Chris Gethard Show), Andy Erikson (Last Comic Standing), Doogie Horner (America’s Got Talent), Aminah Imani (DC Comedy Festival, Daniel Webb (Oddball Comedy Festival), Matty Litwack (Tig Notaro’s Bentzen Ball) and more.
