What's going on Monday?

Cherry Glazerr at Rough Trade

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Cherry Glazerr, Sneaks @ Mercury Lounge
Cherry Glazerr kick off their tour in support of new album Stuffed & Ready with this intimate (and sold-out) show.

Beirut, Helado Negro @ Brooklyn Steel
Beirut just released their new album Gallipoli, which saw main member Zach Condon returning to the Farfisa organ he wrote the first two Beirut albums on, and the result is something of a return to form. They’re now on tour with the genre-defying Helado Negro (which is a good pairing), and that tour hits Brooklyn for three shows this week. This is the second.

Steve Earle @ City Winery
Steve Earle, who’s got a Guy Clark tribute album coming out soon, wraps up his annual City Winery winter residency tonight.

Caveman @ Guadalupe Inn
A few days ahead of Valentine’s Day, veternal NYC indie rockers Caveman play this special three-course dinner concert.

Butterboy Comedy @ Littlefield
Jo, Aparna and Maeve are all in the house tonight and welcome guests Roy Wood, Jr. (The Daily Show), Jena Friedman (Conan, Soft Focus), Django Gold (Late Show With Stephen Colbert), Eliza Hurwitz (The Special Without Brett Davis), Carolyn Riley (Big Sky Comedy Festival), Brandon Jackson (Philly’s Phunniest Finalist).

Howe Gelb, The Lost Brothers @ Bowery Electric
Giant Sand’s Howe Gelb has a new album, Gathered, out in March and will probably be previewing at least a few of its songs tonight.

Gin Blossoms, Punchline @ Bowery Ballroom
Gin Blossoms may have fallen off a while ago, but 1992’s New Miserable Experience (home of “Hey Jealousy,” “Found Out About You,” and more) holds up well and it’s become pretty influential on modern indie rock. That’s the album they’re playing in full tonight
