What's going on Monday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Richard Thompson @ City Winery
British folk icon and guitar great Richard Thompson, who released 13 Rivers last year, plays an intimate solo acoustic date at City Winery tonight. There aren’t too many shows left at City Winery which is closing this location and opening a new location in 2020.

Robert Gordon, ElectraJets, The Trash Bags, Beechwood, The Advertisers @ Irving Plaza
Speaking of venue closures, Irving Plaza is set to close for renovations later this summer, but for now there’s this free “Irving Plaza Appreciation Night” event, headlined by punk and rockabilly great Robert Gordon (of Tuff Darts and more). He’ll perform along with a lineup of friends, including ElectraJets, The Trash Bags, Beechwood, The Advertisers, and DJ Amy Haben (of Please Kill Me).

Lou Doillon, Jesse Mac Cormack @ (le) poisson rouge
Model/actress/singer and daughter of Jane Birkin, Lou Doillon will dropped, Soliloquy, earlier this year which featured an impressive list of producers including Cat Power, Taylor Kirk of Timber Timbre, Benjamin Leabeau of The Shows, and Dan Levy of art-pop duo The dø.

Butterboy Comedy @ Littlefield
Aparna Nancherla and Maeve Higgins are both hosting tonight’s Buttery Comedy show, featuring guests Joel Kim Booster (Conan, Shrill), Taylor Tomlinson (Netflix: The Comedy Lineup), Dan St. Germain (Comedy Central Half Hour), Del Harrison (Trutv’s Laff Mobb’s Laff Tracks), Alingon Mitra (Late Show With Stephen Colbert), and Katie-Ellen Humphries (Bridgetown Comedy Festival).

Anti-Nowhere League @ The Kingsland
UK punk vets Anti-Nowhere League — still led by original frontman Animal — have been going strong for four decades, and as you can hear on their recent music, Animal hasn’t lost his gravelly bark one bit. They just opened for the Misfits in LA this past weekend, and before heading home, they’re stopping in NYC for a small East Coast one-off tonight.

New York Rocks the Great Canadian Songbook @ Joe’s Pub
Joe’s Pub celebrates Canada Day with this night of our neighbors to the north’s greatest musical achievements. The night is hosted by Jeff Breithaupt who will welcome a gaggle of guest vocalists including Marissa Mulder, Ophira Eisenberg, J’sun, Greg Naughton, Janis Siegel, Alyson Palmer, Shannon Conley, Jeremy Kushnier, Shelley Mcpherson, Michael Halling, Libya Pugh, Victoria Lecta Cave, Amy Cervini, La Tanya Hall, The Breithaupt Brothers, Ben Zwerin, Pete Mccann, Mark Mclean, Dan Levine, Dave Pietro, Frank David Greene, and NY1’s Pat Kiernan.
