The Feelies at Monty Hall in 2015 (more by PSquared)

What's going on Monday?

The Feelies @ WFMU Monty Hall, 2015 (more by PSquared)

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

The Feelies, Beach Fossils @ Central Park Summerstage
New Jersey greats The Feelies are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year and play this free Summerstage show tonight with Beach Fossils (who surely have a copy of a Feelies LP in their collection). A summer night in a park, with The Feelies’ magic jangle? Sounds like a great night.

Azealia Banks @ Highline Ballroom
Azealia Banks returned this year with the Slay-Z EP, which continues her reign of mastering the middle ground between rap and dance-pop.

Sneeze Attack, Dog Party, Rats en Zelo @ Shea Stadium
Sacramento garage pop punks Dog Party have a catchy, fuzzy sound rooted in the tradition of the Ramones. Their new album, Til You’re Mine, comes out soon via Asian Man.

Jim Breuer (and the Loud & Rowdy) @ Knitting Factory Brooklyn
Former SNL cast member Jim Breuer is supporting his new rawk album, Songs from the Garage. “I basically want the crowd to have a blast, and I write what I feel that I would love if I was in the crowd. So, going into the record the music had to be killer and have great hooks, that was most important, and I wanted to balance that with something that’s funny.”

Night Train w/ Brooke Van Poppelen @ Littlefield
Brooke Van Poppelen fills in for regular ‘Night Train’ host Wyatt Cenac and welcomes guests Nato Green, Leonard Ouzts, Tim Dillon, and Akaash Singh.

‘Ask Me Another’ w/ Gillian Jacobs & Kate Micucci @ The Bell House
Ophira Eisengberg hosts NPR’s “rambunctious hour that blends brainteasers and local pub trivia night with comedy and music.” Tonight’s guests are Gillian Jacobs (Community) and Kate Micucci (Garfunkle & Oates).
