Andrew Bird @ LPR (more by Sachyn Mital)

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Andrew Bird @ Carnegie Hall
Andrew Bird is a masterful, engaging performer whose use of loop pedals with his violin (and predilection for whistling) turns even solo performances into symphonies.

Bon Iver, Fog @ Kings Theatre
Bon Iver are in the home stretch of their 10-show NYC-area run in support of this year’s experimental, heavily electronic 22, A Million. This is the first of two shows at Kings.

Vic & The Rattleheads @ Saint Vitus
We’re not 100% sure who Vic & The Rattleheads actually are, but circumstantial evidence points towards it being Megadeth. We shall see tonight.

Bleachers, Carly Rae Jepsen, Kesha, Lena Dunham, Hasan Minhaj, Charli XCX, Lauren Mayberry, Mike Birbiglia, Andrew Dost, Jordan Carlos @ Webster Hall (LGBTQ benefit)
Tonight’s the third annual Ally Coalition benefit concert. The Ally Coalition was started by Rachel Antonoff, sister of Jack Antonoff, and Jack’s band Bleachers plays alongside other alt-pop artists and a host of comedians.

Immortal Technique, Kyp Malone (of TV on the Radio), Holly Miranda, Invisible Familiars, The Skins, Constant Flow, Diane Birch, Cole Ramstad, St. Lucia (DJ set) @ Brooklyn Bowl
This is a “Stand With Standing Rock” benefit featuring a whole host of talent, with proceeds going to the continued Standing Rock efforts.

Night Train @ Littlefield
Seaton Smith fills in for regular Night Train host Wyatt Cenac and welcomes guests Josh Gondelman, Langston Kerman, Chanel Ali, Frank Garcia-Hejl, Liza Treyger, and puppeteer James Godwin.
