What's going on Monday?

Muse at Prudential Center in 2016 (more by Dana Distortion)

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Muse @ Central Park SummerStage
Muse are no doubt bombastic, but they bring a little tongue-in-cheek humor to the over-the-top proceedings, and they’ve got some pretty catchy songs to boot. There will be no lack of spectacle tonight.

20th anniversary tribute to Portishead Roseland NYC Live w/ Joan As Police Woman, Holly Miranda, Erin Markey, Sophie Auster, Alfred Kpebsaane @ Le Poisson Rouge
Today is in fact the 20th anniversary of Portishead playing NYC’s Roseland, which in turn became a 1998 live album for the trip hop icons. Tonight’s a tribute to that, featuring the LARCENY Chamber Orchestra and many others recreating the album.

Luke Temple, Eliot Krimsky, Gryphon Rue @ Threes Brewing
Luke Temple of Here We Go Magic has a new album he released under the pseudonym Art Feynman — which comes from combining the names of influential cult artist Arthur Russell and physicist/musician Richard Feynman. Titled Blast Off Through the Wicker, Temple mixes krautrock, synthpop, Malian music, highlife, dub, and more into a warm, melodic, engaging record.

Night Train w/ Wyatt Cenac @ Littlefield
Tonight Wyatt welcomes Melissa Villaseñor (SNL), Charla Lauriston, Andrew Collin, Joe Zimmerman, Omar Shaukat, and Azhar Usman aboard the Night Train.
