Laurel Halo Dust
Laurel Halo - 'Dust' album cover

What's going on Monday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Jay-Z, Vic Mensa @ Barclays Center
Jay-Z released the superb 4:44 earlier this year, one of his most personal and raw albums to date. He’ll be playing two hometown shows at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center — this is the second. Opening for Jay will be Vic Mensa, who released his debut album The Autobiography this year.

Liam Gallagher, Warbly Jets @ Terminal 5
After years with Oasis and Beady Eye, Liam Gallagher released his first-ever solo album this year that definitely (maybe) echoes his first band’s greatest hits. Expect more than a few Oasis faves in addition to songs from the new LP.

Hot Tuna (acoustic) @ City Winery
Blues rock veterans Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady are constantly on the road, and they’re currently embarking on an intimate, acoustic tour across the Northeast. This is one of a few shows at NYC’s City Winery.

Cloak, Natur, Chain @ Saint Vitus
Atlanta’s Cloak mix arena rock and black metal on their debut album To Venomous Depths, which came out earlier this month via Season of Mist. Tonight’s their first NYC show since its release.

Miguel @ Spotify pop-up show secret location
This Friday, Miguel releases his new album War & Leisure, which he says is more political than past work. Ahead of its release, he plays this Spotify pop-up show.

Synth Nights w/ Laurel Halo @ The Kitchen
NYC’s historic non-profit performance arts space The Kitchen hosts its recurring ‘Synth Nights’ series tonight and tomorrow with Laurel Halo, who will be playing music from her new album Dust, which is her first “vocal” album since 2012’s Quarantine.

Wifisfuneral, Danny Towers, 458Keez, Chris Dinero, DJ Yazmine @ SOB’s
Wifisfuneral was born in the birthplace of hip hop (the Bronx) but was raised in Florida, which has been birthing a lot of notable rappers lately. He recently released Boy Who Cried Wolf, and he’s currently on tour supporting that album.

Doug Loves Movies @ Gramercy Theatre
Movie and weed lover Doug Benson tapes his flick-themed podcast which takes a panel of special guests though a bunch of punny games.

Butterboy w/ Jo Firestone, Aparna Nancherla, Maeve Higgins @ Littlefield
Jo, Aparna and Maeve are getting into the swing of things with their third edition of Butterboy, welcoming guests Joyelle Nicole, Mike Drucker, Alison Leiby, and Gary Richardson
