You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Jlin @ AMC Empire 25
The free, three-day “Interference AV” festival begins tonight at the AMC Empire multiplex in NYC’s Times Square. Each night will feature experimental video collective Undervolt & co. who will project immersive VJ sets on the movie screens during live musical performances. Tonight’s performer is Indiana footwork producer Jlin, who got tons of acclaim for last year’s Black Origami.

Dave East, Piff Jones, D Jones @ Irving Plaza
Dave East has always taken influence from the New York rap greats of the ’90s and early ’00s, but on his recent Paranoia mixtapes, he’s been blending those influences with more modern sounds and coming out with his best songs yet. He’s been working on his proper debut album, and judging by those recent mixtapes, it’s looking like it’s gonna be a good one.

John Mulaney @ Radio City (two shows)
John Mulaney’s sitcom may have not been a hit but people clearly love his comedy, as this seven-show run at Radio City Music Hall shows.

Butterboy w/ Jo Firestone, Aparna Nancherla & Maeve Higgins @ Littlefield
Tonight, Jo, Aparna and Maeve welcome Chris Gethard, Marina Franklin, Jennie Sutton, Petey DeAbreu, and more.

Steve Earle @ City Winery
Some people like to spend the cold months somewhere warm; folk and country vet Steve Earle likes to spend his at City Winery with annual residencies which continue tonight.
