What's going on Monday?

Gaz Coombes at Rockwood Music Hall
Gaz Coombes @ Rockwood Music Hall, 2016 (more by PSquared)

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Gaz Coombes, Ayron Jones @ Baby’s All Right
The onetime Supergrass frontman is gearing up to release his third solo album, World’s Strongest Man, and is currently on a solo tour of North America. Expect new songs and at least a few Supergrass faves.

Speaking of ’90s Britpop, Shed Seven were supposed to play Rough Trade tonight (rescheduled from 2017) but that show got canceled.

Dessa @ Rockwood Music Hall
Doomtree rapper, singer, and spoken word artist Dessa is fresh off releasing her new album Chime and she’s now playing a couple intimate shows at Rockwood Music Hall this week. This is night two.

Thunder Dreamer, Dead Painters, Anna Altman @ Elsewhere
Indiana’s Thunder Dreamer got some buzz last year for Capture, which came out on 6131 (former home of Julien Baker, Touche Amore, and Joyce Manor) and sorta finds the middle ground between heartland rock and emo.

Lonnie Holley @ Trans-Pecos
Outsider artist and improvisational musician Lonnie Holley has collaborated with Hot Chip for London’s Meltdown Fest and has had his work shown in major galleries around the world.

Butterboy with Jo Firestone, Aparna Nancherla and Maeve Higgins @ LIttlefield
Tonight, Aparna, Jo and Maeve welcome Eliot Glazer, Myq Kaplan, Donnie Sengstack, Nikki Glaser, and Chloe Hilliard, and they’ve been having some pretty great “surprise” guests lately, too.

BrooklynVegan Blog Radio on SiriusXMU moves to Monday nights at 10 PM EST starting tonight.
