What's going on Saturday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Soul Clap & Dance Off w/ La Luz, The Mystery Lights, Bodega, Jane Church, Jonathan Toubin @ Elsewhere
Jonathan Toubin’s Soul Clap & Dance Off now has a permanent home at Elsewhere and he’s taking over the whole venue with bands from 7 – 11 and then the party really gets going at midnight. Dream-surf band La Luz are flying in from Los Angeles just for this show, and the night also features sets from Brooklyn’s skronky Bodega and garage rockers The Mystery Lights.

Antibalas, Here Lies Man Brooklyn Bowl
Brooklyn afrobeat band Antibalas returned last year with Where The Gods Are In Peace, and this week they’re doing a two-night stand at Brooklyn Bowl with Here Lies Man, the afrobeat-meets-stoner-metal band led by Antibalas member Marcos Garcia. This is night two.

American Nightmare, Pissed Jeans, Protester, Spiritual Cramp @ Market Hotel
Dark melodic hardcore greats American Nightmare just released their first album in 15 years and it’s at least as good as the music they put out during their initial run. Their live shows are also still killer, as you can witness and their second of two sold-out Brooklyn shows this week, tonight. Pissed Jeans is very strong direct support.

Now Now, Mothers @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
Now Now are gearing up to release their first album in six years this year, and while details are still TBA, they’re in town for a headlining show tonight and may play some new songs. Mothers are very worth catching too.

Polica + s t a r g a z e @ Symphony Space
Polica and orchestral ensemble s t a r g a z e first collaborated for a “virtual residency” and a live show called Music For the Long Emergency, and now they’ve turned it into an album that came out yesterday. It’s not super far removed from what Polica do, so fans of that band will probably find a lot to like. Tonight, they’ll bring the project to the stage once again.

Phoebe Robinson, Michael Wolf, Colin O’Brien, Tony Zaret, Josh Nasser @ Union Hall
You’ve seen her on HBO with 2 Dope Queens and now you can see Pheobe Robinson perform as part of tonight’s “Oh Such a Good Show Oh” lineup.

Bardo Pond, Major Stars, Honey Radar, Henry Owings @ Union Pool
Philly psych-rockers Bardo Pond headline this show put together by Chunklet‘s Henry Owings who is also performing tonight (standup, he does one-second impersonations of bands).

John Mulaney @ Radio City (two shows)
John Mulaney’s sitcom may have not been a hit but people clearly love his comedy, as this seven-show run at Radio City Music Hall shows.

KATIEE, Talibam!, Jean Carla Rodea, Smoota, Zodiac Saxophone Ensemble @ Wonders of Nature
Ethereal synthpop artist KATIEE headlines this show of experimental and improvisational music and Brooklyn’s newest home for this kind of stuff.

Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick, Rakim, Roxanne Shant’e, Rob Base, Onyx, Keith Murray, Black Rob, Black Sheep @ NYCB Theatre at Westbury
“The Heart of Hip Hop Classic Edition” hits Long Island tonight with a huge handful of legendary, influential hip hop acts, most of whom need no introduction.
