What's going on Saturday?

Mitski at White Eagle Hall
Mitski @ White Eagle Hall (more by Amanda Hatfield)

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Mitski, Sidney Gish @ Elsewhere
Mitski just released her excellent new album Be the Cowboy, which is a noticeable step up from her already-great sound. She celebrates it tonight, and Sidney Gish is worth catching too.

OG Roc C & The Chopstars, Maxo Kream, Bali Baby, Jubilee, Cuban Doll, World’s Fair, Injury Reserve, Kelman Duran @ MoMA PS1 (Warm Up)
Warm Up continues with a very hip hop-focused lineup today. The headliners are Houston chopped and screwed vets OG Ron C & The Chopstars, and before them, it’s a lineup that includes a ton of great, rising rappers.

Maxo Kream @ Baby’s All Right
After Warm Up, Maxo Kream plays a late show at Baby’s. He released his super fun album PUNKEN earlier this year.

Deerhunter, Standing On The Corner, Circuit Des Yeux @ House of Vans
It’s the second-to-last ever show at Brooklyn House of Vans, with Deerhunter headlining and hand-picking the openers. Hopefully they’ll play songs from their forthcoming Cate Le Bon-produced album. Free (RSVP is full).

A. Savage (of Parquet Courts), Ryley Walker & Bill MacKay, Mandingo Ambassadors @ Union Pool
Union Pool’s free Summer Thunder series continues with this varied, killer bill that includes a solo set from A. Savage of Parquet Courts, a collaborative set between Ryley Walker and Bill MacKay, and Babes vets Mandingo Ambassadors. Steve Gunn will be your DJ for the day. 2-6 PM.

Ted Leo & the Pharmacists, Frankie Rose @ Asbury Lanes
Having played a boat last night, Ted Leo & Pharmacists are at a bowling alley tonight. While they’re not playing Hearts of Oak in full like they did on tour earlier this year, they will probably play a bunch of songs from it nonetheless. Get there early for Frankie Rose.

The Love Language, Bat Fangs, Moon Racer @ Baby’s All Right
Raleigh, NC indie rock vets The Love Language just released new album Baby Grand on  Merge, and play tonight with Ex Hex offshoot Bat Fangs, which is a pretty killer double bill.

Dick Dale, Headless Horsemen @ Brooklyn Bowl
Surf rock as we know it wouldn’t exist without legendary guitarist Dick Dale, and the 80-year-old not only remains active but is literally touring to stay alive. He can still lay down the twangy leads.

The Pietasters @ Rocks Off Concert Cruises
Hop aboard a Rocks Off Cruise with ska vets The Pietasters.

The Gaslight Anthem, Chuck Ragan, Jared Hart @ Stone Pony Summer Stage
NJ heartland punks The Gaslight Anthem are back from hiatus and they’ve been playing their most-loved album The ’59 Sound in full for its 10th anniversary (the shows have been awesome so far). This is night two of a three-night run in their home state. Tonight and tomorrow have direct support from Hot Water Music’s Chuck Ragan.

The Diplomats, Dave East @ Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk
Dipset returned last fall with their first show in two years, and they’re keeping it going with this Coney Island show tonight. Harlem’s Dave East is very strong support.

Katie Von Schleicher, Native Sun, Jerron ‘Blind Boy’ Paxton & Terry Waldo Rum House Jass Band, Plastic Picnic, Madison McFerrin @ Bryant Park (Emerging Music Festival)
It’s Day 2 of the Emerging Music Festival in Bryant Park featuring up-and-coming NYC artists. Free, starts at 5 PM.

Hudson River Park Blues BBQ Festival @ Pier 97
This year’s edition of the Hudson River Park Blues BBQ Fest features performances from Vieux Farka Toure, Dawn Tyler Watson, Welch-Ledbetter Connection, Danielle Nicole, and The Slam Allen Band. It’s free, 2-9 PM.

Picture This @ Union Hall
Brandie Posey and Sam Varela host this show featuring stand up comedians performing while they are drawn by a rotating panel of animators. This month’s cast includes Ana Fabrega (The Chris Gethard Show, Just For Laughs), Sam Taggart (IFC), Christi Chill (Just For Laughs), Joe Zimmerman (Comedy Central Half Hour), and animators Dan Pinto, Patrick Hosmer, Bryan Brinkman, and Chrissy Fellmeth.

Tinder Live! @ littlefield
Lane Moore hosts this monthly dating-app-centric show in which comedians riff on Tinder – personal experiences, improvised bits, and even live swiping. This month’s show features journalist Jamilah Lemieux, Josh Gondelman (Last Week Tonight), and Heben Nigatu (Buzzfeed’s Another Round).

Billboard Hot 100 Fest @ Jones Beach
While “Billboard Hot 100 Fest” may not sound like the name of a place you’d like to be, there is some cool stuff on the lineup today like Rae Sremmurd, THEY., and Taylor Bennett.

Springsteen on Broadway
The Boss continues his sold-out “Springsteen on Broadway” run at the Walter Kerr Theatre, which has now been extended through December. At these shows, Bruce is giving fans shows “that are as personal and as intimate as possible.”
