You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Sharon Van Etten, Nilufer Yanya, surprise guest @ Beacon Theatre
Sharon Van Etten is on the road supporting her excellent new album Remind Me Tomorrow, and she finally plays NYC tonight. The tour has quality support from Nilufer Yanya, and this show was also going to have comedy from Fred Armisen, but Fred had to drop off and he hand-picked a surprise guest to replace him.

Screaming Females, Penetrode @ Asbury Park Brewery
Shredding NJ punk trio Screaming Females are playing two home state shows this weekend in continued support of last year’s great All At Once. This is night two.

Jeff Rosenstock, Laura Stevenson @ Bowery Ballroom
Jeff Rosenstock released one of the best albums of last year with POST- (his first for Polyvinyl), and now he’s set to record a live album at this BrooklynVegan-presented, four-night run at Bowery Ballroom. Each show will be opened by a different artist in Jeff’s inner circle of friends/collaborators; tonight (the final night) is with Laura Stevenson, who used to be in Bomb the Music Industry with Jeff and just announced a new solo album.

Earthless @ Saint Vitus
Stoner rockers Earthless are heading overseas for a tour, but first they’re stopping in Brooklyn for two shows this weekend. This is the second.

The Lot Radio’s Birthday @ Brooklyn Bazaar
While their Greenpoint cafe is still shuttered by DOH (but hopefully open soon), The Lot Radio will celebrate three years of internet broadcasting by taking over all rooms of Brooklyn Bazaar tonight, with DJ sets from FaltyDL, Justin Strauss, Eli Escobar, Eartheater, and many more.

Rasputina, Ryder Cooley @ Mercury Lounge
Mercury Lounge’s 25th anniversary celebration continues tonight with gothy cello group Rasputina who probably played the Merc in its first year.

Eyelids, Brower, Hurry @ Union Pool
Portland’s Eyelids, which features The Decemberists‘ John Moen, and former Guided by Voices member Chris Slusarenko, make ringing, jangly pop and just released a new 7″ via Chunklet Industries. They celebrate that single tonight.

Dysrhythmia, Cleric, Pyrrhon, Oldest @ The Kingsland
The Kingsland hosts an all-around cool bill of local-ish, experimental metal tonight.
