You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Mad Decent Block Party w/ Alison Wonderland, Dillon Francis, Diplo, FKi 1st, Gryffin (DJ Set), Tory Lanez @ MCU Park
It’s the first of two Mad Decent Block Parties at Coney Island’s MCU Park this weekend, and it’s sure to be a wild day of dance/hip hop/R&B/etc all around. After the show it’s the afterparty (at Webster Hall with “Mad Decent All Stars”).

Drake, Future, Roy Woods, dvsn @ Madison Square Garden
This show is stacked all around, with Drake and Future who both have countless hits (including a handful together), and two Drake associates opening. It’s especially an exciting chance to catch the mysterious dvsn project in a live setting. This is the third of eight NYC-area shows (six of which are in NYC proper).

Pinegrove, Sports, Horse Jumper of Love, Half Waif @ Market Hotel
Pinegrove made one of the year’s best indie rock albums Cardinal, and they’re currently on tour with scrappy pop punks Sports and art pop trio Half Waif (who all play in Pinegrove).

Those Pretty Wrongs, Mary Gauthier, Teddy Thompson (and Kelly Jones) @ Hearst Plaza
Part of Lincoln Center Out of Doors’ Americana Fest, this afternoon show (1 PM) is headlined by Those Pretty Wrongs which features Jody Stephens of Big Star. Free.

Gary War, Florida, Buck Gooter @ Silent Barn
Inspired by outliers like Chrome and Syd Barrett, Gary War brings his own eclectic style to the table. Also on the bill: Virginia primordial blues act Buck Gooter.

Frankie Cosmos, Warehouse, Stef Chura, Cende @ Bowery Ballroom
Greta Kline brings her winsome, tuneful songs to Bowery Ballroom tonight, with Atlanta’s Warehouse who are her tourmates.

Creepoid, PC Worship, RIPS @ Baby’s All Right
Here’s a swell triple bill of noise-loving indie rock, featuring Philly’s shoegazy Creepoid, Brooklyn’s art-damaged PC Worship and up-and-comers Rips.

Posh Lost, DOTT, Decorum @ The Gutter
Irish indie rockers Dott celebrate their new EP at this Mirror Universe Tapes showcase that also has gothy two-bass trio Decorum and post-punks Posh Lost on the bill.

Monobloco, Cabruera, Boogarins, DJ Luiz Santos @ Central Park SummerStage
This show is presented both by SummerStage and Brasil Summrfest, and, among other things, it features the very cool young psych rockers Boogarins.

Field Mouse, Grooms, Leapling @ Rough Trade
Ahead of their tour with Cymbals Eat Guitars, Field Mouse play this record release who with fellow local bands Grooms and Leapling. A solid night of music.

If These Trees Could Talk, Driftoff, Alexander Turnquist @ Saint Vitus
Ohio post-rock outfit If These Trees Could Talk have been doing their thing for about a decade, and their latest album The Bones of a Dying World came out earlier this year via Metal Blade. Great, diverse openers tonight too.

Junior Boys (DJ set), Oberhofer, Awesome Tapes From Africa, Conrad Clifton, Yaeji, Gilbane Peck, Body Language (DJ Set), UMFANG, Occupy the Disco @ Variance Music Festival

Swizzymack, Lil Durk, TT The Artist, DJ Class, DJ Tameil, DJ Jayhood @ MoMA PS1 (Warm Up)
Mad Decent’s Swizzymack and Chicago rapper Lil Durk lead this week’s Warm Up lineup.

Mr. Twin Sister, House of Feelings, DJ Deanie Man, DJ Elena Ferrante, DJ Soft Lit, DJ Notorious HSC, DJ @kris_tba, DJ Shraf @ Trans-Pecos
This is the official afterparty for today’s MoMA PS1 Warm-Up, a night of “continuous music” headlined by Mr. Twin Sister.

Hot Tuna, Leftover Salmon @ Capitol Theatre
Since their days in Jefferson Airplane, Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady have been masters of psychedelic rock. With their long-running band Hot Tuna, they still bring the jams with total force.
