Migos

What's going on Saturday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Migos, A-Trak & friends, Juelz Santana, Lil Yachty, The Gaslamp Killer, Dave East, Nick Catchdubs, Meyhem Lauren, Leaf, Eauxzown @ The Garden at Studio Square (Fool’s Gold Day Off)
The annual Fool’s Gold Day Off is always a fun time, with rappers/electronic musicians old and new, and usually a few exciting guests. This year’s lineup is pretty stacked. UPDATE: The venue changed for list last minute, it’s now at The Garden at Studio Square (35-33 36th St, Queens). 1:30 PM doors.

Joy Orbison, Hot Chip (DJ set), Marcus Marr, Powell, Russell Haswell, Not Waving, Jaime Williams @ MoMA PS1 Warm Up 2016
It’s the penultimate Warm-Up of the season, and today’s highlights include a DJ set from some of Hot Chip, as well as the Diagonal Records crew, led by XL-signed Powell.

Powell, Russell Haswell, Not Waving, Prostitutes @ Trans-Pecos
The Diagonal bunch will also be at this late night (10 PM doors) show in Ridewood.

Hot Chip (DJ set), The Juan Maclean (DJ Set), Nikola Baytala @ Output
Another post-Warm-Up option, especially for DFA fans, is this party featuring sets from Hot Chip and Juan Maclean.

Full Moon Fest: SBTRKT, Pusha T, Black Coffee, Moodymann, Lolawolf, Dave Harrington (DJ set), JIL @ Governors Island
Full Moon Fest is back, moving from Brooklyn to Governors Island this year, and it’s got some cool stuff like thumping pop producer SBTRKT, rap lifer Pusha T, and more. After the show, there’s an afterparty at Flash Factory.

CRX (members of The Strokes / Guards), The Gloomies, Slavve @ Rough Trade
Strokes guitarist Nick Valensi, Richie Follin of Guards and others formed the new band CRX recently. While the only music they’ve released so far is a short clip of a distorted guitar riff, the lineup is enough to at least be curious. Hear more CRX live tonight.

Jesse Malin @ Berlin
Subterranean East Village club Berlin celebrates its one-year anniversary with owner and D Generation frontman Jesse Malin playing a full-band set tonight.

Omni, Suburban Living, Navy Gangs @ Shea Stadium
Omni’s debut album is the kind of catchy, spiky, minimal postpunk that favorably recalls stuff like Wire’s Chair’s Missing, Postcard-era Orange Juice, or Spoon’s A Series of Sneaks. The band, which includes former members of Deerhunter and Carnivores, play this early show tonight (doors 6:30 PM) with Brooklyn synth duo Eaters.

Mutilation Rites, Skullshitter, Secret Cutter, Netherlands, Knight Terror @ Aviv
Local metal rippers Mutilation Rites, experimentalists Netherlands, and more team up at Greenpoint DIY spot Aviv.

Flogging Molly, Frank Turner And The Sleeping Souls @ Stone Pony Summer Stage
It’s a solid double bill of folk punk, with the celtic sounds of Flogging Molly and the more rustic sounds of Frank Turner.

Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival @ Nikon at Jones Beach Theater
While the Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival is probably better to avoid at all costs, there’s some stuff worth catching here. Today’s lineup includes Ariana Grande, Fetty Wap, Madeon, Rae Sremmurd, Sleigh Bells, and more.

Gringo Star, Luggage @ Cake Shop
Led by brothers Nick and Peter Furgiueles, Gringo Star owe much to vintage soul and garage rock, but with a definite ear for pop songwriting.

Electric Six, The Brittanys @ WFMU Monty Hall
With riffs and bravado fighting for attention, Electric Six have always had tongue firmly in cheek back to the days of “Danger! High Voltage!” when they claimed they invented the night.
