Happy Labor Day Weekend! Check out our guide to the best shows this weekend. You can also browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Honduras, Guerilla Toss, Tall Juan, Kississippi, Yours Are The Only Ears, Surf Rock is Dead, Sports., Psymon Spine @ Aviv (Summer’s End Music Festival)
DIY venue Aviv just announced they’ll be leaving their current Greenpoint location at the end of October, so if you’ve been meaning to check it out, a great time to go would be this weekend’s Summer’s End Music Festival which today features Honduras, Guerilla Toss and more.

Aeroplane, Psychemagik, Mike Bloom @ House of Yes
Both Aeroplane and Psychemagik are in-demand remixers, often turning indie tracks into something more dancefloor-oriented. Between the two of them thye’ve remixed Phoenix, Paul Weller, Grace Jones, MGMT, Metronomy and more. They both DJ at this sci-fi themed party tonight.

AraabMUZIK, Andy Mineo, Abir, Skyzoo @ Knitting Factory Brooklyn
MPC master AraabMUZIK headlines this late night birthday party for !llmind & Friends.

Lord Dying, Black Fast, Child Bite @ Saint Vitus Bar
This is a cool, varied bill, as Lord Dying play a heavy, dank brand of sludge, Black Fast traffic in proggy thrash, and Child Bite are serious weirdos who seem to tour with everybody in the heavy universe.

Love as Laughter, Honey Bucket, Holy Tunics, Bodega @ Shea Stadium
Sam Jayne has been fronting Love as Laughter for more than 20 years, having spent time on Sub Pop and other labels, making tuneful, sometimes snarky indie rock.

TKA, Sugarhill Gang, Judy Torres, George Lamond, The Cover Girls, Coro, Biz Markie, and more! @ The Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk
Spend the day at Coney Island getting nostalgic at this “A Cyclone Ride Back In Time” featuring old school hip hop, R&B and more.

Gary Clark Jr. @ The Surf Lodge (Montauk)
It’s Labor Day Weekend, which is a good last chance to get the Hamptons before fall kicks in. If you’re thinking of doing that, this free set by blues-guitar revivalist Gary Clark Jr should sweeten the deal.

For all of tonight’s shows, and tomorrow’s, check out our NYC concert calendar.

For laughs, check out the NYC Comedy calendar too.
