You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

LCD Soundsystem @ Brooklyn Steel
It’s been quite a year for James Murphy who came back with a fourth LCD Soundsystem album, American Dream, that ended up being worth the grief of their “comeback” after breaking up in 2011. They wrap up their 2017 with a 10-night run on their home turf, this being the final show.

Rhett Miller’s 5th Annual Holiday Extravaganza feat. Jen Kirkman, Janeane Garofalo & other special guests @ City Winery
Old 97’s frontman Rhett Miller always celebrates the holidays at NYC’s City Winery with a bunch of special guests. This year he’s got comedians Jen Kirkman and Janeane Garofalo, plus more surprises.

Darlene Love @ BB King’s
Darlene Love — who sang “White Christmas,” “Marshmallow World,” “Winter Wonderland,” and “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home”) on A Christmas Gift For You — wraps up her three-night holiday run at BB King’s.

Ceremony, Nothing, Uniform, Ruby™ @ Saint Vitus
Ceremony and Nothing make for a pretty killer pairing. Both have hardcore backgrounds and now make post-punk and shoegaze, respectively. They’re doing two nights at Vitus, this being the second, and this one’s extra exciting with the great noisecore duo Uniform also on the bill.

Springsteen on Broadway @ Walter Kerr Theatre
The Boss is currently in the midst of his completely sold-out “Springsteen on Broadway” run at the Walter Kerr Theatre, which has now been extended through June! At these shows, Bruce plans to give fans shows “that are as personal and as intimate as possible.” This is a pretty standard show but maybe he’ll throw in a holiday song?

The Number Twelve Looks Like You, Rolo Tomassi, Cryptodira @ Brooklyn Bazaar
Reunited mathcore vets The Number Twelve Looks Like You are wrapping up a 12-date tour celebrating the 12th anniversary of their album Nuclear. Sad. Nuclear. in Brooklyn tonight.

The Slackers, The World / Inferno Friendship Society, The Fad, DJ Lady Gemini @ The Bell House
NYC ska vets wrap up a two-night run at The Bell House tonight, and they’ll be performing 2006’s Peculiar in full. Very strong support comes from The World / Inferno Friendship Society and The Fad.

Yo B, It’s Xmas feat. Nyck Caution, Lauriana Mae, Michael Medium, LiveLikeDavis, DJ Shawn G, DJ Surge @ Mercury Lounge
Pro Era’s Nyck Caution teamed with Kirk Knight this year for a great collaborative album as Nyck @ Knight. Tonight he plays this holiday show in his hometown.

Justin Vivian Bond: Manger Danger! Jesus as a Weapon and a Tool @ Joe’s Pub
Justin Vivian Bond’s unique Christmas show continues its run at Joe’s Pub. What is this show all about? We’ll let Justin do the talking: “I think I’m in LOVE with JESUS but it’s difficult because a lot of HIS FOLLOWERS totally HATE ME. (I know, the irony is not lost on me either) Anyway, I’m confused because I’m fully committed to bringing down the patriarchy but I’M TOTALLY CRUSHED OUT ON THE SON OF GOD! Please forgive me for co-opting your holiday to work it out publicly in my new show ‘Manger Danger! Jesus as a Weapon and a Tool.’”
