The Residents

What's going on Sunday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Kevin Morby, Hand Habits @ Bowery Ballroom
Kevin Morby is a fantastic songwriter and maybe an even better live performer. His lead guitarist Meg Duffy opens the show as Hand Habits and is 100% worth showing up early to see.

Acid Mothers Temple, Yoo Doo Right @ Knitting Factory Brooklyn
Japanese psych rock icons Acid Mothers Temple seem to make it over to play Knitting Factory about once a year, and here we are for 2018’s freak-out extravaganza.

The Residents @ Murmrr Theatre
Having kept things strange — very strange — for nearly 50 years, avant garde icons The Residents bring their current show to Brooklyn tonight.

Anna & Elizabeth, Jim White, Benjamin Lazar Davis, Susan Alcorn, Lonnie Holley @ Le Poisson Rouge
Experimental folk duo Anna & Elizabeth celebrate the release of their new album, The Invisible Comes to Us, which came out via Smithsonian Folkways. Helping them celebrate is an impressive lineup of guests including Jim White (Dirty Three), Benjamin Lazaar Davis (Okkervil River) and outsider artist Lonnie Holley.

David Duchovny @ Public Arts
Having recently wrapped up a mostly good new season of The X-Files, David Duchovny will show off his musical side tonight at this intimate show that’s part of the Tribeca Film Festival. He just released new album Every Third Thought
