Last Rites w/ Shady Hawkins, Mallrat, Crosslegged, Yatta, G Lucas Crane @ Silent Barn
Meanwhile, it’s the last day for Silent Barn, too. While Saturday night was the real farewell blowout, tonight’s the “Last Rites” with a funeral service, bands, readings, drinks and more. They invite you to stop by and “say goodbye for now.”

WFMU RECORD FAIR  @ Brooklyn Expo Center
It’s day 2 of the WFMU record fair and in addition to all the vintage vinyl (over 200 vendors!) there are some excellent screenings in the Movie Lounge, including Trent Harris’ The Beaver Trilogy (featuring a very young Sean Penn and Crispin Glover), documentary Ballad of Genesis and Lady Jaye, and Scandinavian witchcraft pseudo-documentary Haxan. We’ve got a coupon for $2 off admission, and if you’re going you might want to stop by the nearby Numero Group popup.

Clint Michigan, Kids in the Attic @ Union Pool
Clint Asay has been making music since the early ’00s, having worked with Jennifer O’Connor and members of The Moldy Peaches, and on his own as Clint Michigan. He celebrates the release of new album, Centuries, tonight.

Calexico, Ryley Walker @ Bowery Ballroom
Long-running, genre-defying rock band Calexico are on tour supporting this year’s The Thing That Keeps Us (out now on ANTI-) and they’ve got excellent support from folk singer/guitar great Ryley Walker. Tonight’s their second of two NYC shows.

Follakzoid, Shana Falana @ Rough Trade
Chilean psych band Föllakzoid, whose most recent album is 2015’s III, just played Austin’s Levitation festival and land here tonight with Brooklyn’s gothy Shana Falana.

Brian Fallon, Caitlin Rose @ Starland Ballroom
The Gaslight Anthem are finally back from hiatus and touring their best album The ’59 Sound this year for its 10th anniversary, but first, frontman Brian Fallon is doing a solo tour in support of his new album Sleepwalkers. Caitlin Rose’s set is not to miss either.

Steven Wilson, Paul Draper @ PlayStation Theater
Porcupine Tree frontman Steven Wilson is touring behind his fifth solo album, To The Bone, and playing his second of two Playstation Theater shows tonight.

Matt & Kim, Tokyo Police Club, Future Feats @ Brooklyn Steel
Matt & Kim are releasing a new album in May, but first they’re on tour and playing their second of two Brooklyn Steel shows tonight. Great direct support comes from Tokyo Police Club, who also just dropped a new single and are talking about a new LP.

Eartheater @ H0L0 (free show)
Having just announced her new album IRISIRI and released the lead single “C.L.I.T.,” experimental pop artist Eartheater plays a live set at H0l0 tonight. Maybe she’ll debut more new songs.

Helado Negro – Rachel Kaadzi Ghansah: A Woman’s Work (DJ Set) @ MoMA
Helado Negro headlines this “evening of readings, performances, and short film screenings conceived and organized by essayist Rachel Kaadzi Ghansah.”

Haram, Rubber, Olor A Muerte, Headsplitters, Junta @ Tompkins Square Park
Tompkins Square Park is a great location for punk matinees, and the first one of 2018 is tonight, headlined by one of New York’s most powerful current hardcore bands, Haram, who released the furious When You Have Won, You Have Lost last fall.

Peaer, Sinai Vessel, Jelani Sei @ Trans-Pecos
This is a solid bill all around, with local indie rockers Peaer and local prog-soul band Jelani Sei, plus young emo greats Sinai Vessel who are in town from North Carolina.

Drama @ Elsewhere
Synthpop duo DRAMA (aka Via Rosa and Na’el) just dropped a new single, “Majid,” and they continue to rise up in the world. Tonight’s show is sold out.

Moneybagg Yo, TGUT @ Gramercy Theatre
Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo recently dropped his new project 2 Heartless, which features appearances by Yo Gotti, Quavo of Migos, and others, and if you like that kinda stuff but aren’t familiar with Moneybagg Yo, you’ll probably like him too. His tour behind the new project hits NYC tonight.

Ilana Glazer, Phoebe Robinson @ Music Hall of Williamsburg (two shows)
Ilana Glazer (Broad City) and Phoebe Robinson (2 Dope Queens) are re-teaming for more YQY shows (that’s Yaaas Queen Yaaas). After doing a few of these at Union Hall, they move up to MHOW for two shows tonight.

Dead Meet @ Union Hall
Maggie Widdoes and Jaime Lutz host this show where they talk to “ghosts” played by a rotating cast of comedians. This month’s installation features Nicole Silverberg (Full Frontal with Samantha Bee), Keisha Zollar (The Opposition with Jordan Klepper), and James Dwyer (Difficult People).
