What's going on Sunday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Beirut, Helado Negro @ Brooklyn Steel
Beirut just released their new album Gallipoli, which saw main member Zach Condon returning to the Farfisa organ he wrote the first two Beirut albums on, and the result is something of a return to form. They’re now on tour with the genre-defying Helado Negro (which is a good pairing), and that tour hits Brooklyn for three shows this week. This is the first.

Sunwatchers @ Pioneer Works
It’s Pioneer Works’ February edition of the monthly Second Sundays series, featuring live music, food, artists’ open studios, and interactive programs. Tonight includes a performance by jazz-punk ensemble Sunwatchers whose new album is out via Trouble in Mind in a couple weeks.

Michelle Buteau, Jordan Carlos @ Union Hall
Comedians Michelle Buteau and Jordan Carlos’ podcast #Adulting is taping two episodes today: the 4:30 PM show has Marie Faustin, Nore Davis, and SNL’s Chris Redd; while the 7 PM show is with Wyatt Cenac, Alex English, and Phoebe Robinson.

It’s also The Grammys tonight featuring performances by Cardi B, H.E.R., Janelle Monae, Diana Ross, Dua Lipa & St. Vincent, the sure-to-be-something Red Hot Chilli Peppers / Post Malone combo, and more. They air at 8 PM Eastern on CBS.
