You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Candy, Super Natural Psycho, Division of Mind @ Saint Vitus
Richmond’s Candy released their debut album Good To Feel on Triple B Records last year, which is a killer LP of metallic hardcore with just a bit of a genre-defying sound (album closer “Bigger Than Yours” is almost in shoegaze territory). They’ll be on tour with Nothing soon, but first they play a headlining show in Brooklyn tonight.

Thundercat @ Blue Note (2 shows)
He’s collaborated with everyone from Flying Lotus and Kendrick Lamar to Michael McDonald and Suicidal Tendencies — the genre-defying bassist wraps up his Blue Note residency tonight with two shows, featuring guest Quinta B.

Typesetter, Well Wisher, Geometers, The Hot Flood @ The Kingsland
Last year, Chicago punks Typesetter released their first album for 6131, Nothing Blues, which saw them going into bigger-sounding, more melodic territory that fans of Beach Slang or Jimmy Eat World might dig. They’re on tour now with labelmates Well Wisher.

Endless Boogie @ Nublu 151
Led by noted record collector and music head Paul Major, Endless Boogie are one of those perfectly named bands who know how to take a groove and ride it all night and into breakfast.

#ADULTING with Michelle Buteau and Jordan Carlos @ Union Hall (2 shows)
Michelle Buteau and Jordan Carlos tape two episodes of their podcast #ADULTING tonight: the 4:30 PM show features guests Hari Kondabolu, Heléne Yorke, and Marina Franklin; while the 7 PM show features Sam Jay, Yamaneika Saunders, and Joyelle Nicole.

Donuts Are Forever 13 @ Brooklyn Bowl
Brooklyn Bowl will be hosting this 13th annual tribute to the late, great J Dilla, featuring guests Stro Elliot, DJ Perly, DJ Kool Flash, Niara Sterling, and Rimarkable. This year’s tribute will be hosted by P.U.D.G.E.

Sally Can’t Dance presents a tribute to “Sticky Fingers” @ The Bowery Electric
Monthly party Sally Can’t Dance tonight pays tribute to the classic Stones album with guest vocalist including Cait O’Riordan (The Pogues), Don DiLego and more.
