What’s going on Sunday?
You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…
Beach House, Ed Schrader’s Music Beat @ Brooklyn Steel
Dream pop greats Beach House are still riding high off the strength of last year’s highly acclaimed 7, and they’re currently bringing their atmospheric sound to some major festivals and a few club shows in between. Two of their club shows are at Brooklyn Steel tonight and tomorrow.
L’Rain, Slauson Malone @ Union Pool
One of our favorite warm weather traditions in Brooklyn is Union Pool’s free concert series Summer Thunder which this year moved from Saturday to Sunday. Today: one-woman band L’Rain. 2-6 PM.
Tower, Tough Shits, Jonathan Toubin @ Our Wicked Lady
If you want to keep your free show Sunday fun going after Summer Thunder, head over to Our Wicked Lady’s rooftop for Jonathan Toubin’s “Soul Scream” series. Bands start at 8 PM.
Blue Oyster Cult @ Paramount Hudson Valley
Metal and hard rock as we know it wouldn’t be the same without Blue Oyster Cult, who are still treating crowds to the classics today.
Dio Returns (hologram) @ The Paramount
The hologram tour continues to be a thing and right now legendary heavy metal powerhouse Dio is getting the treatment. This tour hits Long Island tonight.
Wall To Wall John Coltrane @ Symphony Space
Symphony Space’s signature music marathon celebrates the life and legacy of jazz great John Coltrane, exploring the wide span of his career through music, dance, film, and conversation. 3-11 PM.
Fundraiser for PS 154 w/ Jennifer Silva, Mark Rozzo and the Three Gentlemen, Charles Bissell of The Wrens, Palomar, more @ Union Hall
Palomar and The Wrens’ Charles Bissell have played many of these benefits for PS 154 and do it again tonight…for the kids.
