What's going on Sunday?

Ho99o9 at Elsewhere
Ho99o9 at Elsewhere in April (more by Coen Rees)

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Duster @ Asbury Park Brewery
Indie/slowcore vets Duster broke up in 2001, but they’ve since gone on to become very influential, and they’re now reunited and have been playing shows with some of the artists they helped pave the way for, like (Sandy) Alex G (who they opened for last year) and Snail Mail (who they just played two shows with last week). They released a Numero Group box set of their discography and they’ve also been teasing new music, and now they play a new headlining show in the NYC-area.

OSHUN, Resistance Revival Chorus, Bbymutha @ 99 Scott Ave (Open Air)
99 Scott Ave’s outdoor summer series Open Air continues tonight with one of NYC’s best kept secrets, neo-soul group OSHUN, and more.

Corinne Bailey Rae, Jose James, Natasha Diggs @ Summerstage at Central Park
Modern soul singers Corinne Bailey Rae and Jose James team up for this free show in Central Park, as part of SummerStage’s 2019 concert series.

Fashion Brigade (w/ guests Frankie Cosmos, Kid Hawk), Franz Charcoal, Shamir @ C’mon Everybody
Elia Einhorn of Scotland Yard Gospel Choir recently released Fvck the Heartache, her new collaborative album under the moniker Fashion Brigade, which features guest appearances from Frankie Cosmos, Shamir, Kid Hawk, and more. Tonight, she’ll be joined by those artists for this record release show, which also benefits the National Network of Abortion Funds.

75 Dollar Bill, Condo Fucks @ Union Pool
It’s a killer edition of Union Pool’s free Summer Thunder series today, with experimental duo 75 Dollar Bill, and opening are Condo Fucks…aka Yo La Tengo in cover band mode. Should be fun. 2 PM start.

Jonathan Toubin’s Soul Scream @ Our Wicked Lady
Jonathan Toubin’s Sunday evening Soul Scream features bands at sundown and DJs after 10 PM.

Ho99o9, The Death Set, Hoddy the Young Jedi @ Saint Vitus Bar
Industrial rap duo Ho99o9 are known to put on very crazy shows, and they’re currently on the road opening Korn and Alice In Chains’ co-headlining tour but they have the night off so they’re squeezing in this small headlining Brooklyn show. It’s also The Death Set’s first NYC show in five years. Free, first come, first serve.

The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black, Young Headlight, Hammerbrain, Blackout Shoppers, Ruckus Interruptus, The Jennifer Blowdryer Band @ Tompkins Square Park
This concert is a commemoration of the 31st anniversary of the 1988 Tompkins Square Park Riots and the anarchist lineage of the East Village. Bands start at 2 PM.

Beggars Banquet: The Rolling Stones tribute show @ Bowery Electric
If you didn’t get tickets to see The Rolling Stones this week at MetLife Stadium, perhaps you’d want to see this tribute show at The Bowery Electric, where a variety of vocalists will come together to perform their classic 1968 LP Beggars Banquet in its entirety.

Barry Manilow @ Lunt-Fontanne Theatre
Born and raised in Williamsburg (take that, Karen O), Barry went on to write the songs that made the whole world sing (even if he didn’t write “I Write the Songs”). Like Morrissey before him, he’s doing a short run at the La Fontanne.

Bryan Adams, Billy Idol @ Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater
It’s a day of ’80s and ’90s mega-hits with two of the decade’s biggest rock solo artists.
