Phil Lesh & the Terrapin Family Band @ Brooklyn Bowl

Jeezy, Lil Durk, YFN Lucci @ Irving Plaza
A veteran of Atlanta rap for over 15 years now, Jeezy is still going strong and he’s on tour now in support of last year’s Trap or Die 3. Opening is two newer artists who frequently collaborate with each other, Lil Durk and YFN Lucci. This is the second of two Irving Plaza shows.

Roomful of Teeth, Nick Zammuto @ Merkin Concert Hall“The omnivorous sonic explorations of Nick Zammuto (The Books) come together with the equally far-reaching soundworld of Grammy-winning vocal octet Roomful of Teeth, who explore the full range of the human vocal apparatus, from Tuvan throat singing and yodeling to Korean P’ansori and Persian classical singing.” This is part of the 2017 Ecstatic Msuic Festival.

The Gift, Friend Roulette @ Baby’s All Right
Portugal’s The Gift has been at it for two decades and just released Altar, their first album that’s entirely in English, which was produced by Brian Eno. Check out their new single “Big Fish” below.

Sasheer Zamata, Langston Kerman, Anna Drezen, Free the Mind @ Union Hall
Saturday Night Live’s Sasheer Zamata hosts this comedy night that promises “laughter, merriment, and probably a lot of booze.”
