You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

WFMU Record Fair @ Brooklyn Expo Center
If you didn’t blow all your vinyl money at Record Store Day last weekend, by all means go dig through the hundreds of record crates at the annual WFMU record fare. There are movie screenings, music performances, food, and beer as well. If you’re going…we’ve got a coupon for $2 off admission. 10 AM – 7 PM.

Thursday, Touche Amore, Basement, Cities Aviv @ Irving Plaza
New Jersey post-hardcore heroes Thursday reunited last year, and their shows have been just as powerful as the ones from back in the day. Tonight they wrap up a two-night stand at Irving Plaza, with direct support from the equally powerful Touche Amore (who were sort of Thursday’s proteges early on), UK punks Basement, and alt-rapper Cities Aviv.

Pinegrove, Half Waif, Hovvdy @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
Pinegrove had one of the best breakthrough indie rock albums of last year with Cardinal, and they continue to rise in the world. This is their second of two sold-out NYC shows in the past three days. Direct support tonight comes from the great art pop group Half Waif, who share members with Pinegrove.

Laraaji, Malcolm Cecil, Julianna Barwick, Chino Amobi, Johnny Utterback, Mary Lattimore, HUERCO S., Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Dorit Chrysler, Rob Schwimmer, Visible Cloaks @ Bogart House (RBMA)
Part of the 2017 Red Bull Music Academy, this is “Ambient Excursions,” a “10-hour ambient and transcendent music experience.” Wear comfortable clothes and settle in.

Travis Scott, Virgil Abloh @ Terminal 5
Later this year, Travis Scott will play some massive venues opening the Kendrick Lamar tour. Tonight, you can catch him headlining a slightly smaller room. Sold out.

Ó (fka eskimeaux), Chris Gethard, Big Ups, Sharpless, Ian Sweet (solo) @ Baby’s All Right (Shea Stadium benefit)
Brooklyn DIY venue Shea Stadium is looking for a new location, and this show is happening to raise money for that.

Brooklyn Folk Festival
The 9th annual Brooklyn Folk Festival takes place at St. Ann’s Church with 40+ performances across two stages this weekend. Tonight’s the kickoff.

Kris Kristofferson @ City Winery NYC
Actor and Rhodes Schollar Kris Kristofferson has written some amazing songs, including “Me and Bobby McGee”, “For the Good Times”, “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down” and “Help Me Make It Through the Night.” At age 80, he’s still going strong.

Ali Wong @ Town Hall (two shows)
Comedian Ali Wong broke big this year with her acclaimed show (and Netflix special) Baby Cobra, a raw, unexpurgated hour on sex, pregnancy, hoarding, and more. Tonight wraps up her three-night, six-show run at Town Hall.
