What's going on Sunday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Future Punx, French Vanilla, POW!, Bodega @ ALPHAVILLE
Here’s a solid lineup of synthy postpunk from both coasts, featuring California bands POW! (whose new album is out on Castle Face) and French Vanilla, and Brooklyn’s Future Punx and Bodega.

Wooden Wand, Francesco Saxton @ Baby’s All Right
James Jackson Toth has been making spacey folk as Wooden Wand (or variation of that name) since the mid-’00s, and his latest is this year’s Clipper Ship (which you can stream below).

The Juan Maclean (DJ Set), Jaques Renault @ Good Roof
The Sunday afternoon “Good Roof at Dobbin St” series continues with positive vibes and great music, today provided by DJs Juan Maclean and Jaques Renault.

Bonnie Raitt, Don Bryant @ Lincoln Center/Damrosch Park Bandshell
The 2017 edition of Lincoln Center Out of Doors wraps tonight with easily their biggest show of the season, the peerless Bonnie Raitt, plus Memphis blues legend Don Bryant. It’s free but the cap entry, so get there early. 7 PM.

Whitney @ The Surf Lodge (Montauk)
If you’re out in Montauk this weekend, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better way to close out your Sunday than with the easygoing vibes of Whitney. Free.

King Yellowman & the Sagittarius Band @ B.B. King Blues Club & Grill
There’s nobody else in reggae quite like Yellowman, who first got fame via very explicit lyrics, but he’s mellowed out in the last decade and a half.

Crime In Stereo, Prawn, Heart Attack Man, Become One @ Knitting Factory
Long Island melodic hardcore staples Crime In Stereo are performing their album Is Dead in full at this sold-out show, and the openers are worth catching too. Prawn just announced their new album Run, due out on Topshelf in September.

inc. no world, with special guests Sam Gendel, Ian Isiah & more @ House of Yes
inc. no world and Ian Isiah played a collaborative set of gospel standards at Warm Up yesterday, and today they join forces once again (with more guests) at House of Yes.
