What's going on Sunday?

The Make-Up at Bell House

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

The Make-Up, Martin Rev, James Chance & The Contortions, Wolfmanhattan Project, The Nude Party, Death Valley Girls, Surfbort, Warm Drag, Jonathan Toubin (host) @ Seaport Music Festival
The four-day Seaport Music Fest 15th anniversary wraps up today with an all-day show hosted by Jonathan Toubin and featuring Ian Svenonius’ The Make-Up, Suicide’s Martin Rev, James Chance & The Contortions, The Wolfmanhattan Project (aka Kid Congo, Dirtbombs’ Mick Collins and Bob Bert of Pussy Galore), and lots more. 2 PM start, free and all-ages.

Baroness, Sannhet ft. Planning For Burial @ Brooklyn Bazaar
Progressive sludge greats Baroness are still riding high off the strength of 2015’s Purple (and they have a slightly different lineup since they played NYC). This show has excellent support from local post-rockers Sannhet, who will be bringing out Planning for Burial like they did at their recent church show.

Swervedriver @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
Original era UK shoegazers tonight play their great first two albums — Raise and Mezcal Head — in full.

Oh Sees, Oceans of the Moon @ Warsaw
Having just announced their 20th album, John Dwyer’s ever morphing Oh Sees (currently in a killer two-drummer configuration) play their second of three NYC shows tonight.

Jo Firestone, Will Butler, Patti Harrison @ Union Hall
Jo Firestone, who created Punderdome and hosts podcast Dr. Gameshow all while writing for The Tonight Show, will bottle her unique style of comedy onto a new album being taped at this show. Helping out: Arcade Fire member Will Butler. Sold out.

Norah Jones @ Le Poisson Rouge
Norah Jones, who released Day Breaks earlier this year, begins her five night run at Le Poisson Rouge where she’s backed by drummer Brian Blade and bassist Chris Thomas.

Matthew Sweet, Tommy Keene @ City Winery
Two power pop cult heroes join forces for and evening of harmonies and jangly guitars.

Ilana Glazer and Friends @ Littlefield
The new season of Broad City starts this week and Ilana Glazer has been getting the word out lately, hosting a bunch of her “…And Friends” shows. There are two of them tonight which are both, unsurprisingly, sold out.

Pete Townshend’s ‘Classic Quadrophenia’ @ The Metropolitan Opera
While The Who are also touring this year, the band’s mastermind Pete Townshend is also bringing an orchestral presentation of the band’s 1973 rock opera Quadrophenia on his own tour with Billie Idol, tenor singer, Alfie Boe, and an orchestra (like he did when he premiered this project in London in 2015). This is the second of two nights in NYC.

Bleachers, Brian Fallon, Titus Andronicus, Nicole Atkins, Brick + Mortar, Tangerine, Khalid, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness @ Stone Pony Summer Stage
Jack Antonoff’s Shadow of the City festival returns today with his band Bleachers headlining. The lineup also has some cool Jersey gems like Gaslight Anthem frontman Brian Fallon, Titus Andronicus, and Nicole Atkins.

Kool Keith, Edan (DJ), Paten Locke (DJ) @ Low Tide Bar
Eccentric rap vet Kool Keith is always full of surprises and one of those is he’s doing a show at Rockaway Beach’s Low Tide Bar tonight. Making it even better: it’s free.

Larkin Grimm, Grey McMurray, Jeremy Gustin, Mary McLaughlin @ Threes Brewing
Experimental songwriter Larkin Grimm is in the midst of a residency at Threes Brewing, playing every Sunday this month.
