Richmond indie rocker Sammi Lanzetta released her very promising debut EP For Avery last year on 6131 (former home of Julien Baker, Joyce Manor, and Touche Amore), which is a nice dose of wordy, personal indie rock.

Boysetsfire, All Else Failed, Dissolve, Hundreds of AU @ Saint Vitus
Post-hardcore greats Boysetsfire have been reunited for a while, and after going on their 20th anniversary tour in 2014 (which they recently turned into a documentary), they’ve kept it going. They’re back in Brooklyn tonight.

Malian singer and guitarist Vieux Farka Toure is son of Grammy-winning Malian musician Ali Farka Touré and the stylistic fruit doesn’t fall to far from the tree — and neither does the talent.

Annual New Unfluencers Summit @ MoMA PS1
Comedy duo TALK HOLE are presenting this event that is “an interrogation of both the very nature of influence and the pratfalls of the summit economy. This one-day invitational seeks—through performances, panel discussions, museum-wide engagements, and small bites—to finally answer the crucial question, ‘why don’t they follow me?’” Speakers include Julio Torres, Ana Fabrega, Catherine Cohen, Ruby McCollister, Alex Tatarsky, Lily Marotta, Alexandra Schmidt, Mitra Jouhari, and DJ Physical Therapy.

David Cross, Janeane Garofalo, Seth Herzog @ Union Hall
David Cross has been working on a new show and “Shooting the Shit’, Seein’ What Sticks” at these Union Hall try-outs. Tonight’s features his old pals Janeane Garofalo and Seth Herzog.

The Dandy Warhols, Uni @ Warsaw
Coming up on their 25th anniversary, The Dandy Warhols are still cranking out catchy psych-pop. This is their second of two shows in NYC this weekend. tonight with Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger offshoot Uni.
