Lizzo is having an incredible year, having just released new LP Cuz I Love You. and having sold out two nights at Brooklyn Steel this week and Terminal 5 later this month, with two Radio City Music Hall shows on the horizon in September.

Bjork (Cornucopia) @ The Shed
Bjork’s “most elaborately staged concert to date” is an audiovisual feast, presenting the songs of Utopia to the accompaniment of lush floral imagery and a septet of flutists. It runs at new Hudson Yards multi-arts space The Shed until June 1.

Iron Lung @ Brooklyn Bazaar
Having just headlined What We Like fest at Brooklyn Bazaar, powerviolence duo Iron Lung hang around for one more show at the same venue. Dinner is included.

Morricone Youth (performing live score to MAD MAX) @ Brooklyn Bowl
Morricone Youth writing new scores to classic films, and here put their jazzy touch on George Miller’s 1979 post-apocalyptic classic Mad Max.

J.I.D., Saba @ Irving Plaza
As part of his “Catch Me If You Can” tour, J.I.D. is bringing along fellow rapper Saba, which should make for an insane double-header.

Xiu Xiu, Wreckmeister Harmonies, Norman Westberg @ (le) poisson rouge
Xiu Xiu just released Girl With a Fruit Basket earlier this year which features a new, heavier lineup of the band, including Angelo Seo, Thor Harris and Jordan Geiger. Harris is the through line of tonight’s bill, as he’s collaborated with Wreckmeister Harmonies before and was in Swans with Norman Westberg.

FKA Twigs @ Park Avenue Armory
Shortly after releasing her first single in three years, Fka twigs makes her highly-anticipated return to NYC as part of this year’s Red Bull Music Academy Festival this weekend, which is sure to include elaborate dancing and spectacular outfits. This is her second of two sold-out nights.

Naeem, DJ Delish @ Pioneer Works
Part of Pioneer Works’ free “Second Sundays” series that “engages Pioneer Works disciplines through live music, food, artists’ open studios, and interactive programs.” Naeem (fka Spank Rock), featuring DJ Delish, will be the music guest tonight.

Frank Turner And The Sleeping Souls, Against Me!, Murder By Death, Tim Barry @ Stone Pony
Before Frank Turner begins his Boston run next week, he’ll play this Asbury Park, NJ date with a group of killer openers: Against Me!, Murder By Death and Tim Barry.

Eyehategod, Negative Approach, Sheer Terror, Phobia, Disassociate @ The Kingsland
The amazing triple bill of NOlA sludge vets Eyehategod, Detroit hardcore vets Negative Approach, and NYHC vets Sheer Terror hits Brooklyn for a second consecutive night.

David Sedaris @ Town Hall
Humorist and author David Sedaris will regale the crowd tonight with stories at his final of three “An Evening With” performances at Town Hall.

Justin Vivian Bond @ Joe’s Pub
Cabaret star, Downtown maven and one half of Kiki & Herb, Justin Vivian Bond “explores dreams of stardom, otherness, and strategies of escaping tweenage small-town boredom in a new show called A Star Is Borned, The New Adventures of Chipra.”

Bad Bad Hats, Thin Lips @ Mercury Lounge
Minneapolis indie rockers Bad Bad Hats headline this show, and if you’re going, we recommend showing up for Philly indie-punks Thin Lips too.
