Local lo-fi/indie band Soccer Mommy are opening for Laura Stevenson next month, but first they play their own smaller hometown show tonight.
yMusic National Sawdust
NYC chamber ensemble yMusic will release their new album, First, on February 17 via their own Communal Table Records but tonight play a special show featuring specially commissioned pieces by David Biedenbender and Gabriella Smith
Alvarius B. (of Sun City Girls), Samara Lubelski Union Pool
Onetime Sun City Girls guitarist and Sublime Frequencies founder Alan Bishop is back in NYC with his Alvarius B project, his second of two Union Pool shows.
The Super Bowl
There aren’t a lot of shows tonight, perhaps because of Super Bowl LI, where New England
Patriots will battle the Atlanta Falcons while Lady Gaga and the cast of Hamilton will perform. Or you may just like eating dip and watching the commercials.
