Okay Kaya, Zenizen @ National Sawdust
Okay Kaya recently released her Jagjaguwar debut Watch This Liquid Pour Itself, which finds her seamlessly exploring an array of musical styles (synthy art pop, acoustic indie folk, intimate bedroom pop, classic balladry, avant-garde art rock, and more), and tonight’s her first full-band NYC show since the album’s release.

Martin Rev (Suicide), Model/Actriz, Vj Divine Enfant @ Elsewhere
Suicide co-founder Martin Rev has been making twisted synth music for more than 40 years and still likes antagonizing audiences. Tonights’ show is with Model/Actriz who exudes strong gothy EBM vibes.

Marc Ribot @ The Stone
Guitarist Tom Waits/Elvis Costello/etc collaborator Marc Ribot continues his stone residency tonight, playing a solo set titled “Haiti, Cuba, New Orleans, Brooklyn.”

DAWN, AlanMichael, Wewereborn @ Mercury Lounge
R&B shapeshifter DAWN has been releasing a string of very good singles, and this week she plays two shows at NYC’s Mercury Lounge, tonight and Valentine’s Day.

Raphael Saadiq, Jamila Woods, DJ DUGGZ @ Terminal 5
Last year, neo-soul vet Raphael Saadiq released his first new album in eight years, Jimmy Lee, and newer neo-soul singer Jamila Woods released LEGACY! LEGACY!, which was one of the best albums of the year in any genre. Tonight, they play NYC together.

Earthgang, Mick Jenkins @ Warsaw
Atlanta rap duo EarthGang have been rapidly rising since releasing their very good new album Mirrorland on Dreamville last year, and they’re now supporting that album on tour with Chicago jazz-rapper Mick Jenkins, whose fresh off releasing the very fine EP The Circus. They play sold-out NYC shows tonight and Valentine’s Day.

Ben Ottewell and Ian Ball (of Gomez) @ Rough Trade
Ben Ottewell & Ian Ball of Gomez will play stripped-down acoustic versions of their band’s best-loved songs (and some deep cuts too).

Roomful of Teeth @ The Appel Room
Lincoln Center’s “American Songbook” series at the gorgeous Appel Room (with equal gorgeous views) with acapella ensemble Roomful of Teeth.

PAT Party, JD Samson @ Union Pool
It’s the February edition of JD Samson’s monthly PAT Party, featuring “good vibes, good sound, video projection by local video artists and DJ’s that aren’t afraid to go deep.”

A Gay Show For All People Valentine’s Day Spectacular @ The Bell House
Aaron Jackson & Josh Sharp host “a gay show for all people filled with songs and goofs from comics and queers and mostly people who are both.” Guests include SNL’s Bowen Yang, Jo Firestone, Larry Owens, Lorelei Ramirez (Los Espookys) and more.
