With this snowstorm and Bomb Cyclone upon us, it’s nasty out there and some shows may be canceled. We’ll keep this updated but we’ve also got a Show Cancellations post for more. you many want to call any venue you were planning on hitting tonight.

Rocks Off (who also presented a similar Tom Petty tribute) is presenting this tribute to AC/DC in honor of Malcolm Young, who recently passed away. It’s got a great lineup with Quicksand frontman Walter Schreifels, his Gorilla Biscuits/CIV bandmate Arthur Smilios, Lena Hall (Broadway’s Hedwig & The Angry Inch), comedian/musician Dave Hill, hard rock Beegees tribute act Tragedy, Brooklyn indie rock vets Palomar, Timo Ellis, and more.

Binky Griptite (All Vinyl DJ Set) – Celebrating the Music of Sharon Jones, Charles Bradley & more @ Brooklyn Bowl

After the AC/DC tribute at Brooklyn Bowl, The Dap-Kings’ Binky Griptite is paying tribute to Daptone artists Sharon Jones and Charles Bradley, who both recently passed away, with this all vinyl DJ set.

Thunder Dreamer, Dead Painters, Anna Altman @ Elsewhere

Thunder Dreamer got some attention for last year’s Capture (6131 Record), which has hints of post-rock, emo, and heartland rock. Tonight, the Indiana band come to NYC.

Moor Mother, Dreamcrusher, Geng @ Brooklyn Bazaar
Avant-rapper Moor Mother and noise artist Dreamcrusher have both become staples of NYC’s DIY experimental scene, and they join forces for a local show tonight.

Sunwatchers, Headroom, Gospel of Mars @ Union Pool
UPDATE: Canceled due to storm.
Brooklyn’s skronky, improvisational, psych/jazz/punk quartet Sunwatchers, whose debut album came out in 2015 via Castle Face, will release new album Sunwatchers II via Trouble in Mind on February 2. This show is also the record release show for Gospel of Mars.

Ja Rule has some shows coming up with his old hitmaking partner Ashanti, but first he plays this one on his own tonight.

Juan Maclean & Friends @ Rose Gold
DFA mainstay Juan Maclean begin their monthlong Thursday residency at Rosegold tonight. Guests for tonight’s kickoff are still to be announced but you can get free admission before midnight with RSVP.
