Ravyn Lenae at Trocadero Theatre for Red Bull Sound Select 3 Days in Philly
Ravyn Lenae in Philly in 2017 (more by Colin Kerrigan)

What's going on Tuesday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Ravyn Lenae, Raveena, Luke Titus @ Baby’s All Right
The great and fast-rising R&B newcomer Ravyn Lenae recently released her Crush EP (executive produced by and featuring The Internet’s Steve Lacy), and she’s currently supporting it on tour. Tonight’s her first of two sold-out NYC shows this week.

Dave Davies, Alex Guthrie @ City Winery
The former Kink (we’re still crossing our fingers for a reunion) plays favorites from his days with Ray and solo songs too.

Talib Kweli (full band), NIKO IS, DJ Spintelect, Eman @ Brooklyn Bowl
Brooklyn hip hop lifer Talib Kweli is always up to something and this year it looks like he’s up to… a new Black Star album! While we await more concrete details on that, he’s on tour, playing two full-band shows at Brooklyn Bowl this week. This is the first.

Gallant, Niia @ Public Arts
Alt-R&B singer (and Sufjan Stevens collaborator) Gallant recently announced two NYC shows and one LA show with the statement “I’m back,” and he’s teasing something that we’ll find out more about today. New album? The first of the two NYC shows is tonight (and sold out).

Field Report, Campdoggz @ Mercury Lounge
Field Report, the folk rock band led by Chris Porterfield, who was a member of DeYarmond Edison with Justin Vernon, recently released their new album Summertime Songs, which has some War On Drugs-ish heartland synth rock vibes. Tonight’s their first of two NYC shows supporting the new record.

Caroline Rose, Henry Jamison @ Rough Trade
Singer/songwriter Caroline Rose has gotten some positive reception for this year’s Loner on New West Records, and she brings those songs to NYC tonight.
