You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Jon Hopkins, Leon Vynehall @ Brooklyn Steel
UK electronic artist released the masterful Singularity earlier this year and is back for his third NYC show this year. If you can’t make it to Brooklyn Steel, Jon is also performing this afternoon at VIllain for Pitchfork Live at 2 PM and streaming live.

Sloppy Jane, The Helicopter Scuba Divers @ Baby’s All Right
The intense unforgettable Sloppy Jane headline this show and if you haven’t seen them yet, you should change that.

Graham Coxon (of Blur), The Natvral @ Elsewhere
Blur guitarist, who has an armful of terrific solo records, plays his second NYC solo show tonight, and it’s even more appealing as The Natvral (Kip from The Pains of Being Pure at Heart) opens.

Tredici Bacci, Minivan, Ryan Powers @ Elsewhere Zone One
Do you dig late ’60s / early ’70s Italian soundtracks from Ennio Morricone, Bruno Nicolai and others? Tredici Bacci make music very much in that style, but for films that don’t exist.

Dream Wife, Russo, Thick @ Knitting Factory Brooklyn
UK/Icelandic band Dream Wife make the kinds of hooky, jagged alt-rock that would’ve fit in perfectly in the mid-’00s landscape of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Metric, and The Kills.

Sammus, Poetic Thrust, Jelani Sei @ Mercury Lounge
Underground rapper Sammus is in residency at NYC’s Mercury Lounge, which continues tonight.

75 Dollar Bill @ Troost
Experimental guitar/drums duo 75 Dollar Bill are in residency all week at Greenpoint cocktail bar Troost. Tonight’s with Yo La Tengo’s Ira Kaplan. Free ($10 suggested donation), 8 PM.

“Adult Party” with Dan Iead, Matt Sweeney, Ryan Sawyer, Mike Bones, Marc Razo, James Preston, more @ Union Pool
Dan Iead, who plays with Cass Mccombs, Valerie June and more, presents this free night of collaborative, improvisational, and in-the-round performance.
