Hatchie, Shannen Moser, The Natvral @ Baby’s All Right
Australian dreampop artist Hatchie, who has shoegaze bonafides like having been remixed by Cocteau Twins’ Robin Guthrie, plays this headline show after opening for Alvvays and Snail Mail at three Brooklyn shows. Opening is The Natvral aka Kip from The Pains of Being Pure at Heart.

Simple Minds @ Beacon Theatre
The band behind such ’80s classics as “Don’t You Forget About Me,” “Alive and Kicking,” “Up on the Catwalk,” “Glittering Prize,” and “Sanctify Yourself”  (not to mention great deep cuts like “Theme From Great Cities”) play two full sets tonight spanning their entire career.

Tom Morello @ Le Poisson Rouge
Tom Morello has taken some time away from Prophets of Rage to release a solo album, The Atlas Underground, which features loads of huge guests across hip hop, indie rock, EDM, punk, and more. The album comes out in a couple weeks, but first he’s touring. This is his second of two LPR shows.

Blitzen Trapper, Okey Dokey @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
Portland folk rockers Blitzen Trapper recently reissued their fourth album, Furr, on Sub Pop for its 10th anniversary, and now they’re on tour playing the album in full.

FRKWYS Vol. 14: Nue With Tashi Wada, Yoshi Wada, Julia Holter, & Corey Fogel @ National Sawdust
RVNG Intl recently released FRKWYS Vol 14, which will be celebrated at this show. “The Wadas will share the evening with Music and Poetry of the Kesh, a unique album of songs and poetry sung in an invented language and played on invented instruments. Originally released as a cassette companion to revered science-fiction author Ursula K LeGuin’s 1985 novel Always Coming Home in collaboration with synthesist and composer Todd Barton, the work will be performed live in this special concert by Barton and The Kesh Ensemble, led by music director Sophia Brous alongside Okwui Okpokwasili (Bronx Gothic, Electric Lucifer), Judith Berkson, Sara Serpa, and Corey Fogel.”

The Chordaes, Brass Phantoms, Casper Skulls, nikmoody, Jay Karnell & The Bad Kidz @ Niagara
This is one of the Mondo.NYC showcases. Especially of note is post-punk/dream pop/etc band Casper Skulls, who are in town from Toronto.

Shoreline Mafia, 1Take.Jay, AZ Chike, BandGang Lonnie Bands, ManMan Savage @ S.O.B.’s
California rap crew Shoreline Mafia is one of 2018’s rising stars, thanks to the strength of their recent ShorelineDoThatShit project. They take on SOB’s tonight.

Talib Kweli, Hard Hittin Harry & DJ Tony Touch @ Cielo
It’s the tenth anniversary of Toca Tuesdays at Cielo, and to celebrate, they’ve got Brooklyn rap icon Talib Kweli.

OHMME, Renata Zeiguer @ C’mon Everybody
Sima Cunningham and Macie Stewart, both classically trained pianists, are well ensconced in the Chicago music scene, having worked with Tweedy, Whitney, Chance the Rapper and others. They make their own music as Ohmme and just released their debut LP.

Electric Six, Jeremy and the Harlequins @ Littlefield
Long-running Detroit tongue-in-cheek rockers Electric Six release their new album, Bride of the Devil, this week and celebrate tonight.

Gaz Coombes, Caleb Elliott @ Mercury Lounge
Onetime Supergrass frontman Gaz Coombes released World’s Strongest Man back in May and plays this solo show tonight.

Psychic Ills, Heaven, Simon Boswell @ The Bell House
This show is part of the Psychedelic Film and Music Festival and features composer Simon Boswell who has worked with Alejandro Jodorowsky (Santa Sangre), Dario Argento (Phenomena), Danny Boyle (Shallow Grave), Clive Barker (Lord of Illusions) and more.

Springsteen on Broadway
The Boss continues his sold-out “Springsteen on Broadway” run at the Walter Kerr Theatre, which runs through December. At these shows, Bruce is giving fans shows “that are as personal and as intimate as possible.”
