Steve Earle, Cedric Burnside @ City Winery

Dark Thoughts, The Smarthearts (members of Sheer Mag), Vanity @ Union Pool
Ramones-worshipping punks Dark Thoughts are on the road with their similarly-minded Philly neighbors The Smarthearts (who share members with Sheer Mag), and they’re hitting Brooklyn for a FREE show at Union Pool tonight. Vanity provide quality local support.

Brooklyn Youth Chorus @ National Sawdust
The Brooklyn Youth Chorus, who have worked with members of The National, Arcade Fire, Grizzly Bear, Wye Oak, and other great indie rock artists, are performing their show AMPLIFY at this FERUS festival show. They’ll be performing music by “composer and Co-Founder and Artistic Director of National Sawdust Paola Prestini, Artist-in-Residence Angélica Negrón, National Sawdust Curator Daniel Bernard Roumain, David Lang, Olga Bell, and many more.”

Fiona Silver (B’Day Party), Crazy & the Brains, Modern Whale, All-Star Tribute to B-day Boys David Bowie & Elvis Presley @ Mercury Lounge
