You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Sir Babygirl, The Pom-Poms @ Elsewhere Rooftop
Sir Babygirl puts a DIY, queer spin on late ’90s / early ’00s teen pop, and tonight they bring their fun, energetic live show to Elsewhere’s roof.

Smoking Popes, The Ataris, Live Well @ Knitting Factory Brooklyn
’90s alt-rock/punk vets The Smoking Popes put out their first album with the original lineup in 20 years last year, and now they’re touring with pop punk band The Ataris and hitting Brooklyn tonight.

Conan, Witchkiss, Unearthly Trance @ Saint Vitus
It’s an all-around solid bill of doom/sludge, headlined by UK band Conan who have been touring North America a lot this year.

Regina Spektor @ Lunt Fontanne Theatre
“I am so inspired as I plan these five nights on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne, a beautiful old theater with a rich history,” Regina says of her Broadway residency which wraps up this week. “One of the things I’m most excited about is the chance to explore theatrical elements within my concert show. This isn’t a ‘Broadway Show,’ and yet it’s not a tour concert, either. I’m revisiting all the songs I’ve ever written, to see how some of them might group together and connect into a show. I am thinking up some fun ways to incorporate special guests as well.”

Leif Vollebekk @ Rough Trade (2 shows)
Montreal singer-songwriter Leif Vollebekk is gearing up to release his new album, New Ways, in November. That’s still a ways off, but you’ll likely get to hear some new songs tonight. He’s got early and late shows.

yMusic, Amos Lee @ The Bell House
Chamber ensemble yMusic got a lot better known when they collaborated with Paul Simon on an album and his farewell tour. Tonight they’ll perform with Amos Lee for an evening of orchestral folk.

GABI, Lisel @ Union Pool
GABI is debuting a new live setup tonight, “including classical guitar and cello: and promises some “special surprises.”

The Talent Show w/ Ira Glass, Chris Gethard, Janeane Garofalo, Chris Santa Maria, Sokuzan @ Littlefield
Hosts  Elna Baker and Kevin Townley create an entirely new event each month based on a theme. Tonight’s theme is “The Bardo Show” and they’ve got a lot of great guests for it.

David J. (DJ set), Lacey Spacecake, The Cover-Ups, Cassidy Haley @ Berlin Under A
Bassist for Bauhaus and Love and Rockets, David J will be spinning tunes at Berlin tonight.
