The Chasm

What's going on Tuesday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Incendiary, Rule Them All, Perfect World @ Saint Vitus
Long Island metallic hardcore band Incendiary are playing two shows at Saint Vitus this week, both of which are sold out (this is the first). Incendiary always crush live, and these shows should be no different.

The Chasm, Cruciamentum, Infernal Conjuration @ Union Pool
Mexico City/Chicago death metal vets The Chasm have been going strong since ’92, and they remain very active, having released their latest album in late 2017 (A Conscious Creation from the Isolated Domain-Phase I ). Last month, they embarked on the “Conscious Termination Of An Era USA Trek” with fellow Mexico band Infernal Conjuration and UK band Cruciamentum, and that trek hits Brooklyn tonight.

‘Danny Says’ screening with Danny Fields Q&A @ Anthology Film Archives
This screening of the documentary about music biz legend Danny Fields (who helped the careers of The Ramones, Iggy Pop, The Doors, The Velvet Underground, MC5 and more) features a rare Q&A with the man himself. This is a benefit for WFMU.

Sound Utopias – 100th Anniversary of the BAUHAUS Art Movement @ Le Poisson Rouge
Celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus art movement with this free “live-music to picture program” with original compositions by prominent German and American jazz composers that will be performed by the German National Youth Jazz Orchestra.
