What's going on Tuesday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Hot Chip, Holy Fuck @ Brooklyn Steel
Hot Chip’s latest LP A Bath Full of Ecstasy shows the group still at the top of their game, and they kick off a three-night run at Brooklyn Steel tonight. Excellent support comes from experimental dance unit Holy Fuck all three nights.

Inter Arma, Creeping Death, Skullshitter @ Saint Vitus Bar
Inter Arma’s Sulphur English is possibly the band’s best yet, and it’s a totally genre-defying album that owes as much to black and death metal as it does to Swans. With two very killer openers, this is a stacked bill all around.

Habibi, La Mano, Blair, Pinocchio @ The Sultan Room
Garage-surf combo Habibi headline this night at one of Bushwick’s most distinctive-looking venues, but get there early for Pinocchio, the new band featuring members of Vexx, Crazy Spirit, Dawn of Humans, and Anasazi who you may have seen opening for Bikini Kill.

Polo G, Luh Kel, Funk Flex @ Webster Hall
Chicago rapper Polo G is one of the year’s rising stars, thanks to the love he’s been getting for his new album Die A Legend. It’s not hard to see what people see in him, and you can experience it in person tonight.

Kevin Morby Duo @ WFMU Monty Hall
After touring the US behind this year’s Oh My God earlier this summer, Kevin Morby is now playing a run of more intimate, stripped-down shows with saxophonist Cochemea Gastelum under the name Kevin Morby Duo. At these shows, Kevin promises fans will get to hear a “quieter side” of his latest album.

Planning For Burial, Drowse, otay:onii @ Brooklyn Bazaar
Gloomy one-man band Planning For Burial’s tour with shoegaze/slowcore act Drowse hits Brooklyn tonight, and this show is especially exciting because it’ll be opened by otay:onii, aka Elizabeth Colour Wheel singer Lane Shi Otayonii who has a new collaborative project with Drowse.

Masta Ace, Marco Polo, Rah Digga @ Mercury Lounge
Mercury Lounge hosts a night of veteran hip hop, headlined by the highly influential Masta Ace.
