What’s going on Tuesday?

Fred the Godson
Fred the Godson

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Fred the Godson, Donnie Durag, G5elz, Des the Problem, Ciph Boogie, Kris Lee @ SOB’s
The South Bronx’s Fred the Godson makes gritty, ’90s-style New York rap, and after taking a brief hiatus from music he made a comeback last year with two albums, a Joell Ortiz collab LP and his own God Level, and he’s already set to release another new album, Payback, this March. First, he’ll play a set of God Level songs at SOB’s tonight.

Great Times with Cory + Kevin, Josh Gondelman, Dan Soder, Jo Firestone, Marcus Monroe, Ilana Glazer @ Bowery Ballroom
Cory Cavin and Kevin James Doyle host this long-running comedy show and tonight’s got a pretty great lineup, including Broad City‘s Ilana Glazer, Josh Gondelman, Jo Firestone and more.

Melody English, Liam Benzvi, Starchild & The New Romantic @ Union Pool
Union Pool has been offering up a great series of free shows lately and here’s another, headlined by local orch-pop singer-songwriter Melody English, and also featuring ’80s/’90s R&B-ish Starchild, and more.

You can also find quality entertainment on almost any night of the week at: Barbès bar and performance space in Park Slope, LunÀtico in Bed Stuy, Nublu in the East Village, Blue Note jazz club in the West Village, The Stone in multiple locations, Comedy Cellar in the West Village, and Q.E.D. comedy club in Astoria.
