What's going on Tuesday?

le1f

fear of men LE1F / Fear of Men @ BVSXSW (more by Amanda Hatfield)

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Le1f, Loaf Muzik, Nasty Nigel, Infinity Shred (DJ Set) @ Baby’s All Right
NYC queer rapper Le1f continues to put on wild shows — we just caught him down in Austin and he’s crazier on stage than ever. Also on tonight’s bill is rising local group Loaf Muzik and Nasty Nigel, who’s on Wiki’s recent single “Livin’ With My Moms.”

Wyclef Jean @ Brooklyn Bowl
Tonight’s show marks the first time the former Fugees member has played Brooklyn since Dave Chappelle’s Block Party 10 years ago. Advance tickets are sold out but there will be a limited amount available at the door tonight.

Beach House (Installation) @ Knockdown Center
Having just played three nights at Webster Hall last week, Beach House are back with these two arty “installation” shows at Knockdown Center where they’ll play as a two-piece. Should be interesting. Sold out.

Spookyland, Gunfight! @ Mercury Lounge
The late show at Mercury Lounge tonight is headlined by Australia’s Spookyland, who are over on our shores and just played SXSW. They’ve got a sound that’s kinda folky, kinda arty, and kinda rockin’. It’s good stuff.

Danny Fingers and The Thumbs, Valley Lodge, Infinite Finale @ Pianos
Did you know that Dave Hill’s band Valley Lodge’s song “Go” is the theme song to Last Week Tonight with John Oliver? It’s true, and we bet they’ll play it tonight.

Fear of Men, WALL, New Myths, Maria Sherman (DJ) @ Rough Trade
UK dreampop act are stopping in NYC tonight before heading home from SXSW and will be previewing tracks from their upcoming Fall Forever. This is a good show all together, with the highly charged WALL and synthpop act New Myths.

Deradoorian, Imagine Man, X or Size, Troublemakers @ Union Pool
UPDATE: tonight’s final installment of Deradoorian’s Union Pool Residency has been rescheduled due to illness, makeup date being Wednesday, March 30.

Kirk Franklin @ Kings Theatre
Long-running gospel musician Kirk Franklin got a profile boost in the modern pop world this year after collaborating with Kanye West on The Life of Pablo and SNL. Tonight his tour hits the gorgeous Kings Theatre.

Cake Shop Comedy @ Cake Shop
If you miss Big Terrific and Hannibal Buress’ Sunday night show at Knit, and are looking for a new free, weekly comedy show that happens in a rock club and sometimes has big name talent stop by unexpectedly, “Cake Shop Comedy” might do the trick.
