Wolf Eyes at Boston Hassle Fest 2016 - Saturday
Wolf Eyes at Boston Hassle Fest 2016 (more by Ben Stas)

What's going on Tuesday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Bon Iver, Marijuana Death Squad @ Pioneer Works
Bon Iver continue their 10-show NYC-area run in support of this year’s experimental, heavily electronic 22, A Million. This one has them once again at the unique space Pioneer Works, which is a truly special place to see them.

Wolf Eyes, Show Me The Body, Kill Alters, Dreamcrusher @ Brooklyn Night Bazaar
After making killer noise rock for years, Wolf Eyes began a trek into more traditional styles of rock music, and it turns out they’re just as good at that. Tonight they’re the headliners of night 2 of Show Me the Body’s NYC residency.

The 1975, Bastille, Bishop Briggs @ Pier 36
The 1975’s ’80s pop influences are pretty obvious, but they’ve got a kind of fearless flamboyance that rock could use a little more of these days, and some of their songs bang. Tonight they headline Pandora’s free holiday show (RSVP closed).

Flynt Flossy, Turquoise Jeep, WordSpit and The ILLest, Kosha Dillz @ Brooklyn Bowl
Brooklyn Bowl hosts a night of novelty rap, headlined by YouTube stars Flynt Flossy and Turquoise Jeep.

Futurebirds, Loamlands @ Rough Trade
Athens, GA psychedelic country band Futurebirds returned last month with the Portico 1 EP, the first in a two-part series (Portico 2 comes out in 2017). Maybe we’ll hear more new stuff tonight.

Cake Shop Comedy @ Cake Shop
If you miss Big Terrific and Hannibal Buress’ Sunday night show at Knit, and are looking for a new free, weekly comedy show that happens in a rock club and sometimes has big name talent stop by unexpectedly, “Cake Shop Comedy” might do the trick.

SWEET w/ Seth Herzog @ The Slipper Room
Seth Herzog hosts this long-running comedy night that always features great guests.

Sebastian Bach book event @ Saint Vitus
The Skid Row frontman and Hep Alien guitarist is at Saint Vitus to promote his new book, 18 And Life On Skid Row, where he’ll be talking with music writer Brandon Stusouy and signing copies. Sold out.
