What's going on Tuesday?

Flesh world @ MHOW, 2015 (more by PSquared)

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Flesh World, Decisions, SIGNAL @ Silent Barn
Featuring members of Brilliant Colors and Limp Wrist, San Francisco’s Flesh World — whose name is suddenly a little cooler thanks to the return of Twin Peaks — meld punk and jangly indiepop. Twee it is not.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds @ Beacon Theatre
A total legend and showman, with an amazing band and nearly 40 years of great songs at his disposal, no chance to see Nick Cave should be taken lightly.

Bob Dylan @ The Capitol Theatre
Bob Dylan’s last three albums, including this year’s Triplicate, have all been covers albums. But don’t worry, his live shows still include a handful of classic Dylan songs. Tonight he begins a three-night run at the Cap.

Deftones, Rise Against, Thrice @ Jones Beach
Last year, Deftones released Gore, one of the best albums of their lengthy career, and now they’re on tour with Rise Against and Thrice, the latter of whom reunited recently and reminded everyone how damn good their live show is.

The Avalanches @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
Having just played Governors Ball, Australian cut-and-paste good vibe mavens The Avalanches give NYC another chance to see them.

Jeremy Enigk (of Sunny Day Real Estate), Tomo Nakayama @ The Bell House
Jeremy Enigk remains quite the elusive figure, so any rare show he plays is very worth catching. He’s been hinting at a new solo album and has been playing some new songs live. Hopefully he’ll play new stuff tonight, and hopefully some SDRE too.

Mount Kimbie, Kučka, Suitman Jungle @ Warsaw
Mount Kimbie have been saying their third album will come out this year, and while we’re still awaiting an official announcement, two new singles are out (one with James Blake, one with Mica Levi). Maybe we’ll hear more new stuff tonight.

Kevin Lyttle Roti (Heems, Rafiq Bhatia, Kassa Overall), Shahzad Ismaily, Rafiq Bhatia, Anjna Swaminathan @ Threes Brewing
Jazz/indie/etc guitarist Rafiq Bhatia continues his SPLC benefit residency at Threes Brewing tonight. Among other things, this one features Rafiq’s group with Swet Shop Boys/ex-Das Racist rapper Heems.
