What's going on Tuesday?

The Brian Jonestown Massacre at Webster Hall

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Chui Wan @ Brooklyn Steel
Anton Newcombe has been piloting the BJM for over 20 years and have been on a real creative upswing for the last five, and the current lineup includes everyone’s favorite mutton-chopped tambourinist, Joel Gion.

Roky Erickson, Death Valley Girls @ Rough Trade
Roky Erickson has been making mind-expanding psych for 50 years — The 13th Floor Elevators’ Easter Everywhere came out in 1967 — and any chance to catch him should be strongly considered. One of the greats.

Burgundy Stain Sessions with Thomas Bartlett (Doveman), Norah Jones, Joan As Policewoman, Steve Salett + very special guests @ Le Poisson Rouge
Thomas Bartlett, aka Doveman, tonight brings back his Burgundy Stain Sessions, a regular event where Bartlett, along with friends and fellow collaborators, perform songs together.

Stereophonics @ Irving Plaza
While never huge in North America, Welsh band Stereophonics are one of the most successful rock acts in the UK, nearly all of thier albums have gone to #1 there. Their new album, Scream Above the Sound, is out in November.

Dinner, Obliques, Nicholas Nicholas @ Baby’s All Right
Danish singer/producer Anders Rhedin celebrates his new album, New Work, as Dinner tonight. Shows tend to be highly theatrical and interactive, and pretty fun.
