You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Rogue Wave, Dear Boy, Sun Parade @ Bowery Ballroom
Long-running indie rockers Rogue Wave are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their third album Asleep at Heaven’s Gate with a recently-released reissue and also a tour where they’ll be playing it in full. That tour hits NYC tonight.

Sylvan Lacue, Akinyemi, G Two @ Mercury Lounge
Miami rapper Sylvan Lacue (fka QuESt) recently released his Kendrick Lamar-inspired new album Apologies in Advance, and tonight he’s performing it in full in NYC.

Daddy Issues, Thick, Blush @ Alphaville
Nashville indie rockers Daddy Issues released their debut album Deep Dream last year on Infinity Cat, and they’re now doing another round of dates in support of it.

Painted Doll, Mirror Queen @ Mercury Lounge
Painted Doll, the psychedelic garage band featuring death metal legend Chris Reifert (Death, Autopsy, etc) and comedian/rock musician Dave Hill, are fresh off releasing their self-titled debut LP on Tee Pee Records. They’re currently playing some shows, including a mix of headlining dates and dates opening for Monster Magnet.

Albert Hammond Jr., The Marias @ Brooklyn Steel
The just-released Francis Trouble is arguably the best solo record Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. has made since his first. It sounds like he’s having fun on this one.

Sam Amidon, Alexander Turnquist, Sam Gendel @ (le) poisson rouge
Folk musician Sam Amidon, whose jazzy 2017 album The Following Mountain was his most ambitious to date, will be joined this evening by forward-thinking guitarist and composer Alexander Turnquist and saxophonist Sam Gendel (who played on The Following Mountain and released his own record via Terrible).

The Soft Moon, Boy Harsher, Ligature @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
The Soft Moon showed an angrier, louder side on new album Criminal which suits main man Alex Vasquez well. Tonight’s show is with another gothy, dancy group, Boy Harsher, who are worth getting there early to see.

Marshall Crenshaw, Bottle Rockets @ The Bell House
Power-pop great Marshall Crenshaw (“Someday Someway,” “Whenever You’re on My Mind”) plays tonight with Southwest alt-country vets The Bottle Rockets

Dan Auerbach & The Easy Eye Sound Revue featuring Robert Finley, Shannon Shaw, Shannon and the Clams @ The Capitol Theatre
Dan Auerbach has taken his Easy Eye Sound label on the road, and Shannon Shaw of Shannon & The Clams, and blues artist Robert Finley will be joining Dan during his set, in addition to their own opening sets.

Cocks Against Glocks @ Littlefield
Hosted by Matt Koff, this fundraiser will feature 50 comedians telling, as the name suggests, dick jokes in the name of gun control. Not only do the proceeds go to a vital cause (specifically, Everytown Gun Safety), but the event also features dozens of amazing stand-ups, including Roy Wood Jr. (Comedy Central’s This Is Not Happening), Josh Gondelman, Jo Firestone, Mike Drucker, Clare O’Kane, Emmy Blotnick, and many more.

Giulia Rozzi, Ilana Glazer, Josh Gondelman, Micah Sherman, Rebecca Vigil, Mia Jackson, Clark Jones @ Union Hall
Meanwhile at nearby Union Hall, Giulia Rozzi hosts “Feelings: A Talk Show” where she invites guests ranging from authors, experts, comedians and musical guests to explore a new feeling theme each show, with DJ Therap- E (aka her sister Elena Pellegrino), a real-life therapist , to provide “mental health tips and sick beats.”

Growing, Jeremy Toussaint-Baptiste, Weak Signal @ Union Pool
NYC ambient/drone/noise vets Growing bring voluminous attack, sustain, and release.

Springsteen on Broadway @ Walter Kerr Theatre
The Boss continues his sold-out “Springsteen on Broadway” run at the Walter Kerr Theatre, which has just been extended through December. At these shows, Bruce is giving fans shows “that are as personal and as intimate as possible.”
