Light Asylum, Kontravoid @ Saint Vitus Bar
After going into hibernation for a while, Shannon Funches has returned with her ferocious EBM project LIght Asylum, and we’re glad to have her back. She plays this week’s edition of the Synthecide party with Toronto’s Kontravoid.

Beach Bunny, Field Medic, Del Water Gap, Another Michael @ Baby’s All Right
Having just played the Front Bottoms’ Champagne Jam in NJ, Chicago indie popsters Beach Bunny bring their tour with Run For Cover-signed bedroom folk artist to NYC tonight.

Champagne Jerry @ Mercury Lounge
Ad-Rock collaborator Champagne Jerry just released new album I’ve Grown, which features Bridgett Everett and more. Who knows who’ll show up tonight.

Girl from the North Country @ Newman Theatre
Based on the songs of Bob Dylan, Girl From North Country is set in 1934 in Bob Dylan’s hometown of Duluth, Minnesota, and features 19  songs from throughout Dylan’s discography, including “License to Kill,” “I Want You,” “Like a Rolling Stone,” “Idiot Wind,” and, of course, the title track.

Justin Vivian Bond is Refrigerated @ Joe’s Pub
Cabaret legend and one half of iconic duo Kiki & Herb, Justin Vivian Bond presents this holiday show where “the elite and the sandwich meet, Jesus is in the cheeses, and the Goddess’ dressing is on the side. If the power holds the patriarchy will soon be crushed ice! That’s cold!”

Coco Verde, Jane Church, Da Pop @ Sunnyvale
Brooklyn duo Coco Verde’s music ranges from power-pop to more soulful rock, as heard on their recent Marathon EP; Jane Church make Lou Reed/Television inspired rock and is the new band from Matt Stevenson who used to front Spires.
