The 2017 Ecstatic Music Festival continues tonight with a collaboration between San Fermin and NOW Ensemble. This will also be broadcast as part of WNYC’s New Sounds Live.

Cigarettes After Sex, Libsyd Read @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
New York band Cigarettes After Sex had a viral hit with the Mazzy Star-esque “Nothing’s Gonna Hurt You Baby,” and have since signed to Partisan who will release the band’s debut LP later this year.

Tonstartssbandht, Tredici Bacci, Cruel Angels, Leya @ Sunnyvale
Montreal/Brooklyn avant-rock duo Tonstartssbandht, whose new album will be out via Mexican Summer, headline this show that also features the Morricone-esqe Tredici Bacci.

Bobby Bare Jr & Elvis Perkins @ City Vineyard
Part of City Vineyard’s “Voices on the Hudson” series, this is a very intimate performance, with only 100 seats sold.

Sloppy Heads, Dump @ Union Pool
Brooklyn’s Sloppy Heads, who make shaggy, slighty twee indie rock, enlisted Yo La Tengo’s James McNew to produce their new album. McNew’s band Dump will open tonight’s record release show.

Shawn Colvin, Richard Thompson @ City Winery
Shawn Colvin continues her three-night City Winery run tonight, each show with a different, very impressive guest. Tonight it’s with the great Richard Thompson.

Michelle Branch @ Bowery Electric
This April, Michelle Branch will release her first album in 14 years, which was co-written with Patrick Carney of The Black Keys. Ahead of that, she’s playing this private, intimate show.

A Deer A Horse, Jouska, Baglady, Hypoluxo @ Alphaville
Recent Tiny Engines signees Jouska have a sound that’s sorta part post-rock, part emo, part Microphones-y lo-fi. Last year, they released their debut album topiary.
