What's going Sunday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Alex Moffat @ The Bell House
Alex Moffat has been one of Saturday Night Live‘s breakout stars these last few seasons. He does standup tonight.

Jena Friedman @ Union Hall
Fresh off a critically acclaimed 2019 Edinburgh Fringe Festival run, comedian and onetime Daily Show producer plays this early show (5 PM start).

Phoebe Robinson @ Union Hall
Former 2 Dope Queens co-host throws another of her “…And Friends” parties. No word on who those friends are, but tonight is sold out nonetheless.

Boy Harsher (DJ Set), DJ Andi Harriman @ TV EYE
Looking to dance it up, gothy darkwave style? Boy Harsher’s Gus Muller will spin just that at this free party.

Thrice, mewithoutYou, Drug Church, Holy Fawn @ Starland Ballroom
Post-hardcore greats Thrice are celebrating the 15th anniversary of Vheissu on this tour, which is also one of the last tours for the equally great mewithoutYou before their hiatus. Rounding out the bill are two worthy newer bands: punk ragers Drug Church and the post-rock-ish Holy Fawn.

If it seems weird there are not many notable shows tonight, it might be because tonight is also the 2020 Academy Awards where you can tune in an find out just how many boring montages will happen before 1917 wins Best Picture (though we’d love to see Parasite pull the rug out from under it).

You can also find quality entertainment on almost any night of the week at: Barbès bar and performance space in Park Slope, LunÀtico in Bed Stuy, Nublu in the East Village, Blue Note jazz club in the West Village, The Stone in multiple locations, Comedy Cellar in the West Village, and Q.E.D. comedy club in Astoria.

For all of tonight’s shows, and tomorrow’s, check out our NYC concert calendar.
