Chicago’s Whitney are playing a sold-out, three-right “A Valentine’s Special” run at their hometown’s Thalia Hall this week. The first of those shows was Tuesday night (2/13) where the band split the show into two sets, playing songs off their 2016 debut album Light Upon the Lake, plus a handful of covers (Dylan and Neil Young among them) and some new stuff. Pictures from the show, including ones of opener Kweku Collins, are in the gallery above.

Ohmme and Deeper open tonight’s Valentine’s Day show and Kevin Krauter and Baby Blue open on Thursday. Meanwhile, Secretly Canadian has for Valentine’s Day repressed Light Upon the Lake on translucent red vinyl which is available now.
