Whitney expand tour, playing Brooklyn Steel before Primavera Sound
Chicago’s Whitney had a big 2015, landing on some top albums lists and playing a ton of shows behind their great new LP Light Upon the Lake. They’ll look to continue that momentum in 2017, as they already have a bunch of stuff scheduled, including a sold out show in NYC at Rough Trade on January 5, Primavera Sound in June, and another, just-announced NYC show in May.
They’ll be playing Bowery Presents brand new 1800-cap Brooklyn Steel on May 24, which should serve as a warm-up for Primavera and make it their biggest NYC show to date. Tickets for that show go on AmEx presale Wednesday (12/14) at 10 AM and on sale to the general public Friday (12/16) at noon.
