The 2017 edition of the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival wrapped up this past weekend, and Friday (8/11) featured a great, chill lineup of Whitney, Moses Sumney and Weyes Blood. Photos from the show are in this post.

Whitney played every song from their 2016 debut album at Prospect Park, plus covers of songs by Lion (“You’ve Got a Woman,” which they released as a single), Neil Young and NRBQ. They also played a new song, “Rolling Blackouts.” It was one of three NYC-area shows they played, having stopped in Asbury Park, NJ the day before, and they played a free show at Montauk Surf Lodge on Sunday.

Sumney, whose debut album is due out in September via Jagjaguwar, had a short set that included his dazzling new single “Quarrel” and a cover of Bjork’s “Come to Me.” (Sumney will be back in Brooklyn at Music Hall of Williamsburg in October). Weyes Blood’s set, meanwhile, ended with a cover of Can’s classic “Vitamin C.”
